There are so many restaurants in Little Italy that it is hard to know which one to choose. We ended up selecting Da Nico based on the menu. The front of the restaurant was empty, but the back room was full of large groups having a great time dining together. There was a team of servers taking care of the... More

My husband and I wandered in here on New Year's Eve at about 5pm. My husband loves to eat in Little Italy when in Manhattan and we have been to many of the neighborhood restaurants. The service was attentive from the minute we walked in. The bread we received after we ordered was excellent - crusty outside, soft inside. My... More

We were in NYC celebrating 25th. marriage anniversary and holidays, and we wanted to taste real Italian food so we went to little italy in manhattan and we found this restaurant, the trip advisor decal in the entrance made us with confidence to eat here. We have to wait 30 minutes to be seated because we didn't have reservation, and... More

Food was decent but the wait staff was a bit rude. My group all felt rushed which was uncomfortable at best.

We didn't have a reservation and despite being really busy they quickly found us a table. The menu had a large range of food, wine and cocktails and all the staff were friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed it here, especially with the complimentary doughnuts at the end!

Great authentic Italian food in the heart of Little Italy. Bruschetta pizza starter is excellent. Lobster Diablo is an amazing dish. They make their own mozzarella that is fabulous. Reasonably priced wine list.

We are NY area locals and have been to Danico numerous times. Our recent visit before the Xmas holiday reminded us how great and consistent this restaurant is despite being a bit touristy. Busy without being loud, the place is always festive year round. The service is attentive and efficient without being overbearing, and the food is very good and a... More

Very comfortable, old fashioned service. Lasagna was the best dish we had. Cool place! Complimentary donuts too.

We stopped in not knowing what to expect after a long walk from the Highline and would say it was one of our best meals while in NYC. The service was impeccable and the food of a high quality. Prices were actually some of the cheapest we experienced and I would have to say they were excellent value given the... More

Description
Enjoy traditional Northern and Southern Italian cuisine at Da Nico. The beautiful indoor dining room is a favorite among movie stars, New York Yankees and former Mayor Giuliani. The casual, family-friendly atmosphere welcomes you to dine on "The Best Coal Brick Oven Pizza," or one of the delicious items on the menu. Specialties include lobster fra diavolo, baby lamb chops and veal chops. Call for the day's specials. During the summer, Da Nico features a large outdoor garden which doubles its normal seating capacity. Da Nico is also available for your private parties. There are many keys to having a great dining experience. With that in mind, consider Da Nico the master locksmith of Little Italy!

Staying in Little Italy

Neighbourhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
