Nice memory from UES german history with this family owned restaurant. The taste of the kitchen is like my german gandmother ! Joli souvenir historique de Upper East Side pour ce restaurant familial. La cuisine ressemble à celle de ma grand mere allemande.

Ate there last night, amid much positive expectations. Did not expect to be so very disappointed or to spend the night in the bathroom when we got home. The service was awful and for the first time in years, we only left a small tip....More

Just kidding, but this place totally reminds me of something out of the Hobbit. Really nice people and fantastic menu. Get something you normally wouldn't get, everything is good here!

This was our 2nd visit to Heidelberg as we wanted our kids to experience it. Seated 6 of us which was nice with the bad weather upon us. Service was prompt and food was excellent! The Jager and Weiner Schnitzels were both wonderful as recommended...More

Portions were generous and we were both fully satisfied at the end of the meal. Service was enthusiastic and happy. Would definitely visit again if...More

We've been here many times for their authentic German food and hospitality. For starters we typically go with the Camembert wheel or the Potato pancakes. Favorite entrée choices are the Gulaschsuppe and Sausage platters with a side of Spatzle. All have been outstanding! You won't...More

So I was there on 3/11/18 with a friend of mine and we ordered a mixed platter of sausages. It was really good and the atmosphere definitely takes you back to Germany [if you've never gone, you have to check it out]. Tara was our...More

Hadn't been here in a couple of years but was pleasantly surprised on a recent visit. The menu had been revamped, and my father and husband and I agreed our entrees were delicious. They loved their beer (the waiter was quite the expert, explaining the...More
