I've eaten here a number of times over the years and always been happy with the quality. I like sushi, and often seek it out when I am traveling, sometimes taking it out or having it delivered and eating back in my hotel. Suhsiden has always been a reliable place, with good quality and selection. Not cheap, but consistent. I'm... More

People may be cheated by any other Sushi Restaurant in NYC. Sushiden is a reputable Tokyo based Sushi Restaurant with its head location right in front of world famous Tsukiji Fish Market. They receive materials both from Japan and USA, fresh (nothing to compare !), unique and yet traditional. The best bet will be to ask for the counter seat... More

We visited sushiden at the beginning of January whilst on a business trip, After first going to the wrong 'sushiden' Seems crazy that there is 2 sushiden on the same road ???? Anyway, the place and staff is very authentic, and on first impressions alone it was well worth the visit, We sat at the main sushi bar, was served... More

They make sure that you know that children and teens are not welcomed. We made a reservation and when we showed up, they looked at my kids with such distaste that we decided to just take off.

This austere place is an excellent place for sushi and sashimi. Spotlessly clean and minimalist in nature it offers some excellent fish for those who wish to pay the price. I go here infrequently due to the cost but always come out feeling sated. I highly recommend for a good experience.

While food was good, it did not reach the level I expect from restaurants at that level. Even though we were in a private room, the waitress did not know the menu and misread the orders. She was hardly coming during the meal. This is not a Japanese restaurant, but a New York one. It is clearly in need of... More

The food at Sushiden is fresh and very tasty. The sushi chef Nozomu Abe is making some creative and authentic dishes like the home made dried mullet roe. The sea urchin is delicious and also the crab. Good toro selection Service is great

We tried Sushiden at 6th Avenue and the one at Madison Avenue, and we liked them both. We thought the sushi was good, really great staff, and many local japanese guests (always a good sign). We will absolutely return whenever we're in NYC.

Recommend highly for the quality of sushi and sashimi. You'll see a lot of Japanese locals visiting the restaurant. The menu is not extensive but addressing to western visitors as well as authentic Japanese food. As a Virginian, I am not able to find some fancy menu items in the Washington metro area. Our white wine was chilled properly but... More

Just ok and no more. Food well presented and good quality but v v small portions when judge by the price. Service good and selection of food good. Very poor selection of wine and beer. Would not return,.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
