I have been going here since I was a child. It was one of my favorites. We had to wait over an hour even with a reservation. The waiters were not up to their usual standards. Our waiter never asked if we wanted dessert. The Carpaccio was right. My veal was burnt and tasteless. My dates pasta was over cooked.... More

After a long day of fighting the a winter storm in New York City we settled on Angelo's of Mulberry for dinner. We were easily seated, and served quickly. The restaurant has the atmosphere you would expect in a Little Italy establishment. We all order pasta dishes and they were served piping hot and were all delicious.

Early dinner with friends. Heard very good things about this place so we decided to give it a try. This is 100% Italian!! We ordered an antipasto and it didn't disappoint!! (See picture) All of our meals were out of this world. We had chicken parmigiana, veal piccata, mussels, manicotti, seafood fra diablo, shrimp, chicken Marsala. Guess you could say... More

I have reviewed Angelo's before, but can't resist doing so again. My husband enjoyed the special last night --- veal osso bucco and could not stop raving about it. We visit Angelo's every trip to NYC. If you haven't been yet, please do yourself a favor.

The food here is delicious and service is great. This restaurant has been here for over 100 years and I have eaten here for the past 62 of them. Waiters are very attentive and you feel like you are at home in a Italian family house.

After reading the reviews i expected better. The food was just average. The waiter was not the best, he never talked to us except to take the order and that was it. I will not go back, to many other great restaurants in NYC.

We loved the calamari here but the spaghetti and meatballs were the stand out! My kids both ordered the meatballs and didn't want to share with us at all!

I've been to Angelo's many, many times from the late 80's through early 2000's -- hadn't been back until recently, when we stopped by for a family dinner for four. Boy, has this place gone to seed. Back in the day, Angelo's was an elegant restaurant that served consistently very good, sometimes superlative food -- like the gnocchi, which was... More

Staying in Little Italy

Neighbourhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
