A friend recommended this as a MUST DO on our trip to NYC............he nailed it!!! Gila was super friendly and helpful on what to order. We each tried something different and we still were fighting over each other's plates. LOVED IT!!

Family run establishment. They accommodated 9 of us for family style combination of our favorite Israeli food. We ate hummus, tahini, grilled eggplant, couscous, schnitzel, shawarma and falafel. Also great tea and desert. Kids and adults all loved the food.

Whether it's take out or eat in, expect friendly old fashion service and great food. Gila and her family always treat you like family. The food is not only good it is very versatile from brunch to lunch to dinner. Special requests and daily specials a big plus. We like to share a few apps and main courses. And don't... More

The sheer labyrinthine complexity of NYC has the advantage of letting you stumble upon original and enjoyable tiny places such as this one crammed between much larger and better marked establishments. And unearth it you should. Getting an original (2 eggs, coffee, bacon and toast doesn't count), non-chain breakfast is a challenge even in the big city. Gila's mixes it... More

I must admit to some bias as Gila is very slightly related. I had heard great reports of how popular the Nosh has become, so I had high expectations. I was not disappointed. We were met to Tomy, Gila's son, they couldn't have been more welcoming. There were 12 of us and we nearly filled the restaurant, but the atmosphere... More

Everything was delicious and Gila was absolutely lovely and very interested to see how we were enjoying everything. We sat at a large table with other people we did not know which was fine.... More

Was introduced to this place by a family member who goes there all the time. And turns out she is right. Very simple place but so warm and cozy, felt like being at Gila's home. She is so nice and just as authentic as her Middle Eastern-Israeli-Iraqi food. The small place is packed, service is as friendly as it gets,... More

Like being home. Gila's been so nice to let us shoot our short film in her restaurant and it turned out much better than we thought thanks to her help. Also she saved us (italians) from eating junk food every day in NY for three weeks! And her stories are amazing.
