Went for my birthday last night, place was bustling despite the snowstorm. We had pasta faggiol, grandpas pizza , chicken parm, and ravioli. We loved eveything! Servers were on the money and even came out with a complimentary desert! Thank you, we shall return!

This place is rather busy whenever I pass by so I decided to try it one day. I tried their eggplant pizza which was pretty good. Nice service. Worth a drop in if you're looking for a quick meal.

We decided to try Salvo's for dinner since we live in the area. We ordered two entrees and we have never had such poorly prepared and awful tasting Italian food. The tomato sauce was lacked taste, the eggplant was cooked on one side----when I separated the eggplant the underside was coated and never cooked.

This is a very active neighborhood restaurant, with great service and really very good food. Beer is very cold, and pizza right out of the oven is super – at least if you like the thin crust type. They have a number of other very interesting specialties, including a clam soup at times that is outstanding. Cleanliness is very good.... More

This is our favorite neighborhood pizza place. The family who owns it is Italian and I think the sauce they use is great grandma somebody's - it tastes as though it is a secret family recipe that has been passed down for generations. The grandma pizza is great!

Usually packed on weekends but more indicative of the 'bar' concept in a pizza bar. Good atmosphere due to the crowd but for the pizza itself, there are better ones in the neighborhood. The regular slice is good with a light crust ; whereas the Sicilian slice is full of sauce but too thick and dough is not airy. Good... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
