We visited this place on our recent visit to NY, the menu looked nice so we went in. First we were sat at a table for 4 but was cramped into a small area where we were close to the other tables nearby - not great when they moved their chairs and hit ours and then the waiters couldn't get... More

With all the stories about the high coast of eating in NYC I was expecting much less than we received, This very welcoming restaurant had excellent service, especially considering we were a large party of 11. They got us seated very quickly, for a Friday noon time. Our server was very efficient and responsive. The sandwiches here were more than... More

Right opposite theatre to see Beautiful, and they met our request to serve us in a timely way, which was helpful. Very surprised that, with three people, we were not served at the same time; a very poor practice. Food was ok, although Chios were rather stake all was all bit overpriced for the quality. Physical convenience was the major... More

Heartland Brewery and Chophouse is well located just off Times Square. They serve basic American Fare. I can't spek for the beer. Te food is average at a very high price.

For me the Heartland Brewery is just ok. For what you get I think the prices are a little steep, even by Manhattan standards. I got the meatloaf which was a decent sized piece of meatloaf with mashed potatoes and onion straws but it was almost $20. Their beers are pretty decent.

We went to an event at the Heartland Brewery a couple of weeks ago. Service was pretty awful. It took a very long time for the food to come out, and this was based on a set menu (no surprises or special orders). I ordered the burger, and that was the best of the menu choices. Tablemates were less enthused... More

Average is the word that comes to mind about this place--the wait staff is very good, but the nachos were lacking in interest and freshness. I ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and it had oxidized-We just wanted a quick snack before a show...next time We'll wait for a quality meal.

We didn't eat at the Heartland Brewery Chophouse but visited the bar a couple times. Its only about two minutes walk from the Time Square Ball. We found it a quiet place for a late night drink after spending the day site seeing the great city of New York. The barman was very friendly and as he was from Ireland,... More

We arrived for a late lunch and even tho it was pretty empty the hostess was tentative to seat us. We ordered an appetizer which came out immediately, with cocktails/ wine. We were nearly finished and the waiter came to remove the plate and seemed in a hurry to do so, forcing one of our party to take the last... More

One of the few casual chophouses in the Times Square area, this Heartland Brewery combines the rich character of a steakhouse from yesteryear with a modern restaurant sensibility. In addition to a beer-friendly menu specializing in Black Angus beef, you'll find a museum quality collection of pre-Prohibition beer artifacts, including back-bar sculptures, trays, and photographs. Three spacious private dining rooms, all of which have their own separate bars, are available for parties.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
