We recently visited Madison Bistro with two couples of old friends. This is a gem of a find in the Murray Hill district of New York City. It is a neighborhood place with excellent French cuisine. The staff is professional, attentive and well versed in the menu offerings. We had a very enjoyable evening. This is one not to miss... More

My husband and I stopped into this place for dinner on a recent visit to NYC. Wasn't expecting much as you never know what you'll get on an impromptu visit. There were a few patrons when we first arrived and business started picking up shortly thereafter. This was around 7 p.m. Menu was interesting. Service was good. My husband had... More

We ate breakfast here one morning and spent $101 for four people. That did include 2 bloody marys at $13 apiece. THe drinks weren't very good and the food was just OK. not worth a second visit though. The staff was very friendly and the service pretty good. Just too expensive for a repeat visit.

It is hard to find somewhere quiet in New York for breakfast. This restaurant offered a nice little oasis to enjoy a good French breakfast of warm baguette and croissant and coffee. Really good place to know about.

We went here to eat a nice lunch with my wife’s aunt, uncle and cousin. Things were pleasant enough through the reasonably tasty appetizers. But then things went south in a hurry. Our aunt ordered a burger cooked “medium” and it came our looking bright red. We got the waiter’s attention and they took it back for more cooking. Except... More

Went as part of a larger group. This is a tiny place on the corner of 37th and Madison. 8 minute walk from Grand Central. You walk through what appeared to be a friendly bar, which didnt have too many places to sit. Everyone who got there early who ordered a martini was very pleased with their drinks!! Its a... More

We dined here one night before going to the theatre. I thoroughly enjoyed the Boston lettuce salad with almond & Dijon vinagrette to start followed by the cod choucroute. My companion had the lobster & spinach lasagna which he said was rather tasteless. Service was sporadic even though we arrived early & were the only customers there for a while.... More

French Bistro with a good variety of selections. Service professional and efficient - server had good knowledge of menu, ingredients, cooking time required for each entree, etc. Portion sizes were absolutely appropriate - not sure I understand some of the prior posts regarding small portion sizes. I ordered the herb omlette with salad and it was a very filling lunch... More

The pre-fix dinner would be a great value if the entrees were a bit more generous! It is $45, and at tht price the entree ws very skimpy! My entree was hanger steak with shallot sauce ( which is served sliced) with french fries. The portion was adequate for me but would not have been for my husband. It was... More

This is an adorable restaurant with a delicious and affordable prix fixe menu for both lunch and dinner. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
