We all enjoyed everything we ordered (especially the cheesecake.) Service was good. The bill four a family of two adults and two children was nearly $100 with tip and tax. Had we known that Hell's kitchen was two blocks from our hotel in the opposite direction, and that that is where a real New Yorkers can get a great meal... More

last day of our holiday we decided to treat ourself to cheesecake. A complete rip off. mediocre cheesecake and ridiculously expensive. it cost more than our fantastic main at 'The Halal Guys' street cart down the road.

Recently stopped in on a visit to NYC with the family and ordered breakfast. First off, the location is very rundown. Our booth had gashes in the seats with tape over them. Second, the hostess was very disturbing. She was not very nice and kept applying makeup on her face across from our table the entire time we were eating.... More

Where to begin? Absolutely dreadful place! Myself and a friend had heard about the famous Lindy's and decided to give it a try- after all, when in Rome... We were shouted at by this old waitress when we entered who didn't seem to understand that we wanted coffee and dessert- for some reason she thought we wanted fish- which we... More

High priced. Definitely. Average lunch. Can usually get in without a line. Next to hotels and good location near Times Square and Central Park. Again, they get you on the price. HUGE servings of cheese cake......at $10.00 a slice. But you can share!

Delicious sandwich, and great fries. I would like to go back to try some of the beautiful desserts showcased in the fridge.

My wife and I, including our youngest went to NewYork for a week city break flying with Ba, whilst here we went Lindys for an American diner experience, yes it's a little bit expensive but we enjoyed it. We had pancakes and strawberries, eggs bacon potatoes , orange juice and coffee $48 with tip. I just loved the experience, I... More

We popped in for the famous cheesecake and we were very disappointed. Prices are high for burgers and the cheesecake too. Quality of the food was poor. Staff were older and lacking smiles or a warm welcome...i guess authentic NY-ers. Very outdated décor and desperately in need of a refresh. Whilst waiting for our food we saw many come in....look... Staff appeared not to want to be working, very lacklustre. Pricey too. Wish we'd not come in. Husband had a turkey sandwich which did have plenty of meat in it, but could have got better elsewhere.

Got into NYC late, so I just wanted a sandwich for dinner. Lindy's is around the corner from my hotel. First... I really wanted a pastrami sandwich, but they did not have that. Second, all the sandwiches we $20 or more. Third, the corned beef on the sandwich I ordered was tasteless. Finally, the potato knish I ordered came undercooked.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
