THE BEST PLACE! THE BEST PANINIS! I admit I was hesitant to give away "the local secret" but Panino is a truly unique place and I want them to thrive! It has "something for everybody" the paninis are great and so are the bagels, pastries, salads, omelettes and of course great coffee! And $5 wine! Where else in the West... More

Took a detour off Bleecker Street when looking for a quick but decent sit down snack. Cafe Panino looks less polished than the nearby chain places but was very good. Looks and feels like it's been here servicing the locals well for years. There's window seating and mis-matched furniture, which adds to the appeal. Had their French roast coffee and... More

Super friendly service and cheap filling food. What more could you want! I had the omelette which came with salad and a roll.

My sister lives on Jane Street near Hudson, so I pass by here often. Although it's not a desitination in and of itself, I'll often stop buy for a great cup of coffee.

After flogging this part of town on foot and desperate for a coffee we chanced upon this little Cafe. Compared to a lot of the surrounding ones which are clearly aimed at a more Bohemian crowd this one hits the spot as having retained it's authentic old school charm. It's only a basic cafe for the drink menu but all... More

The title of this review does reflect my overall experience. The cafe is one of many choices within several blocks, so it is part of an overall blur that can lead to option paralysis. The brunch was overall positive. My stomach randomly selected this spot and without the aid of Yelp or any other advice web sites I proceeded to... More

We were wandering through the West Village looking for a place to eat and came upon this spot. The coffee was delicious as was the food. The atmosphere was very comfortable. There is not a lot of seating and the bathroom was pretty small but it was a much more interesting place than a fancy coffee shop.

Greenwich Village is a changed neighborhood and not for the better at some levels. If you are looking for an authentic neighborhood cafe that serves good food for reasonable prices this is your place. It is small so dont use it as an office! They depend on reasonable table turn but are too kind to tell you! The food is... More

HIghly recommended. Speaking as a West Village local, this is where the residents go for a reliably good cup of coffee and a quick bite. Food is good quality and the atmosphere is comfortable and low-key, harkening back to the West Village of two decades ago. The house specialty is the breakfast and lunch hot panini sandwiches. Price is right,... More

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
