I did not want all of the sweet stuff that others were proposing and I also needed a rice meal (Yeah, Yeah, I am from West Africa). So I was fine with grabbing the lamb masala. Plus I could top it off with the coconut drink. Not as cheap as one may think though.

This place is just OK for a quick lunch if you want something different from the usual greasy stuff. For 11$ you get a plate with rice and salad an up to two items from the menu. I didn't understand that so I only ordered Chicken Tikka Masala. Now I'm no Indian food expert, but all of the items looked... More

Just before hopping on the train at Grand Central I discovered Cafe Spice with wonderful food from different parts of Central Asia and India. The vegetable Somosas were just wonderful plus all sorts of vegetable stews. I ate the Somosas right there in the cafe area of GC and took the plate with stews and rice onto the train what... More

I've eaten twice here. Its a bit expensive, but when I order, I can eat this for two meals. You can combine meals and order. I have always ordered the chicken biryani, its really good. Not too spicy. The aloo okra, isnt very well done, with the potatoes still uncooked, the chicken dishes are well done. The chili chicken, tandoori... More

This is a surprisingly good Indian takeaway conveniently located inside grand central train station. Portions are large, prices are reasonable, food quality is very good. Tried the coconut chicken Currie and the tikka masala which were ok and the chicken Currie and vindalou which were excellent!! The nan bread was also very tasty, although it would have been better if... More

Let's get things straight, it's not a typical restaurant setting; it's more like a food court. Café Spice is at one end of the dining hall. They have a good menu, we've eaten there every time we've come to NYC for the last 5+ years, and the quality and portions have remained excellent. The naan or garlic naan is addictive.... More

Despite being a take out place in a train station and the corny name, this place is quite good! I ordered Lamb curry over vegetable rice with sag paneer (cooked spinach with cubes of Indian cheese) and garlic naan. All tasted like they were prepared order except the naan which was cold. I have eaten numerous items on their menu... More

this was recommeded to me as a good indian in Manhattan. Just had a snack of Samosas. They were really great, good decent filling and flavour, esepcially the lamb.

If you are in grand central and looking for lunch, I recommend heading downstairs for Indian food at Cafe Spice!! I grabbed dinner from their counter for the first time in a while last night and was happy I did. I absolutely love their chicken vindaloo.
