The 3 course lunch menu is fantastic value at around $30 for 3 courses, the main being a fillet steak (absolutely delicious). Our waiter was lovely: he supplied with a lot of insider knowledge of the city and seemed interested in us and where we were from, etc. Top class: would thoroughly recommend this restaurant and will definitely go again... We went there for dinner and enjoyed the excellent service and food. The restaurant is rather big. It is not on street level.

Celebrated my husbands birthday here whilst on a visit to NYC, food was excellent but the atmosphere and service in the restaurant left a lot to be desired. Service in the bar was very good but unfortunately this did not transfer to the restaurant.

We noted that the portions are less big, and prices are higher since our last visit. The service is still good, the atmosphere fine. But today, my fillet mignonette was salty as was my Caesar salad. The dessert was very good. My friend had an excellent soup, squash and melon?, her salmon was done to her specification, but as noted... More

This is a fantastic place for a very, very special dinner. There were two of us for dinner on a Saturday evening, celebrating a career achievement. We had made reservations. The house was packed. We were greeted warmly by the hostess, and also by the person taking coats. We started with the burrata and heirloom tomato salad - the tomatoes... More

Porter House is always a treat. There are tons of restaurants in the Columbus Circle area but I must admit that I look for reasons to come here as it's on the expensive side but always worth its weight in gold. This week I was with a friend who had an earlier lunch and was not up for a "big... More

Sat morning and feeling like a nice juicy steak?. So we booked Porter House in Columbus Circle in NYC. The restaurant, which is located at the top of the Time Warner Centre was conveniently located and had nice views, shame about the weather + our specific seats, which were tucked to the far left of the restaurant. Wouldn’t it be... More

Just had dinner at this place with my boyfriend. Wasn't my first time there since I live right next door... The food was amazing as per usual, but the treatment was so bad, I actually wondered with myself what on earth was happening. Waiters didn't care about us at all. As a matter of fact, they didn't care since the... More

We went there on a weekday for lunch. We had the 35$ lunch menu that was delicious and very generous. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly. Also the cheesecake was very good. Good selection of wine and beers. Very good service (maybe the best we had in NYC)!!! Good view on Central Park.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
