Nothing fancy, a small local place that closes way too early. Has a good variety on the menu. Delivery is usually very fast, but it's a bit pricey for this area.

Bad, overpriced coffeeshop food. But what else is there if you're bored with Castillo de Jagua and don't have time to walk elsewhere? We expected sort of a greasy spoon type of place where we could get a bagel or something else. Instead we walk into a frenzy of food. The staff behind the counter work like crazy but had a... More

Classic Greek Diner. Friendly service, good food and great mix of customers. A real NY diner in a real NYC neighborhood - 2 disappearing gems.

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighbourhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
