This was our first night in New York after a 7 out flight we checked in to our hotel then off our for a bite to eat. The food we had was top notch we both had a burger and fries. I ordered another beer as the first one I had was really nice the waitress forgot about it after... More

This isn't NYC's top ten and isn't meant to be. But for a better-than-casual atmosphere for a nice meal--in back--or catching the game over a brew, this is it. Good food, efficient, unobtrusive service, decent (NYC) price, TVs where you want 'em, and a convenient mid-town location. Have a seat. Hope this helped; thanks for noting if it did.

What a great, friendly little bar. As a visitor to NY intend to stay in the area and found this bar on a walk one evening. The vibe was good, service excellent and food and drink without fault. Definitely on my list of places to revisit.

GREAT quiet bar on 2nd ave. Come here after dinner if you want to grab a glass of wine or beer in a quiet and dark atmosphere with a friend and watch a game or just talk. Servers are attentive and friendly. Haven't tried the food... feels like a little locals bar!

After Jameson's change their stye, this has become one of my favorite Irish bar on Midtown East. Nice and friendly staff, good and tasty menu. Will be back next time in NYC.

First came here in June 2010 on my boss at times recommendation. It was where he went to get away from the madness for an hour. Been back numerous times. I get the chicken curry or steak sandwich with French fries (Irish habit) & ask for pepper sauce (from dinner menu) on side. The wings are great and it's a... More

I haven't absolutely loved anything I've had at The Press Box. They have a nice upstairs space for groups, but I'm not a huge fan of the food.

Higher-end pub devoid of woo-woo girls, drunken frat boys and $4 beers in plastic cups. A nice alternative to the other mid-town 2nd Ave bars. A great Sunday brunch, daily specials and active lunch crowd. Great burgers, steak frites & French onion soup. A bit of a madhouse in football season, but many screens and teams to choose from -... Went to my scuba club's meeting here last night and I had the Boursin Burger which was absolutely great! It's got a small amount of flavored cream cheese in the middle and was so good. The service was great and the drinks were awesome!

Cozy Public. Of course the drinks are refreshing on a smoldering hot summer day - however there were only a few patrons here late afternoon, and we had to look for our waitress several times throughout our meal. The food was average. Not impressed.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
