There are obviously plenty of great sushi spots in NYC but we chose Blue Ribbon while in before Xmas and weren't disappointed. If you're looking for quiet and not crowded, this isn't your place. All sushi and sashimi was on point and tasty. One member of our party opted for some grilled fish and was very happy with the choice.... More

Excellent interesting food. Music was so loud we switched tables and still had to speak loudly. Decor would be better if they bothered filling all the illuminated displays along the corridor.

A very popular bar and restaurant, I'd advise to arrive early. No bookings for parties under 5 people. Atmosphere is very buzzy, simple, and urbane. Service impeccable. Sushi very fresh and served beautifully. Try the mushroom dish to share. Unusual and delicious. Unless you know your sake, the huge menu may be overwhelming. We tried 4 different ones and all... NYC friends took us to this wonderful restaurant on Columbus Circle. The menu is varied...everything we tried was delicious but I'd recommend the pot of peppers, the fried chicken and the cod. They were unusual and fabulous! Sushi was fresh and well prepared but if I go back the cod is on the top of my list. Highly recommended!

We went to Blue Ribbon Sushi over the holidays. Although they do not take reservations, we did not have a wait. The food was outstanding. Fresh, tasty and creatively served. The wait staff was very helpful and they followed through on our specific requests. I even ordered something not on the menu and they made it specifically for me. We... More

Cost us $500.00 for a family of six adults! Food is great. Be sure and try the fried chicken, the reviews are correct! It is delicious!

I can only speak for the sashimi and maki rolls. The sashimi was excellent and fresh as were the maki rolls. There most expensive roll the NIJI roll was slightly disappointing as it was a California roll with sashimi on top...although the sashimi was good the inners was lack luster. The green tea creme brule was also excellent.

I always eat here, and would eat here more often if it is not too pricy. The gindara is just... The best. Soft, perfect amount of salty and sweetness, The oxtail fried rice is worth every pennny. the portion is really big so you can share it with others.

To get 5 stars is impossible with me. This place is really close to 5. The sushi is about as good as you can get. Temperature is the difference in flavor and texture. These people nail the temperature. They also are about as close as you can get to Sushi. This means they do not doctor up the Sushi with... More

The place was very busy on a Tuesday lunchtime, luckily we had booked ahead. The décor was authentic and felt very Japanese. The 4 of us tried a sushi/sashimi platter, the fried chicken, oxtail fried rice (x2), the black cod and the squid. The highlight easily was the oxtail fried rice, this was absolutely delicious! The rest of the food... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
