It was worth the wait on a cold mid-day weekend to slip into Alice's Tea Cup, a themed restaurant on East 64th Street. Greeted by Garrett, he got us seated as soon as he could at this popular site. Victor, our waiter, was very knowledgeable about the menu and the more than 100 varieties of teas they offer. We started... More

What would you pay for tea that you could get at whole foods and breakfast that your hungover spouse could make for you with just the basic ingredients? $10? Double that and that is what you would pay if you went for breakfast. 5 stars for the wait staff - they do a great job and are very accommodating. So,... More

So glad we found this charming, cozy spot for lunch! The homemade soup of the day was just delicious, as were our sandwiches. The desserts and tea selections rule here...an amazing tea menu! We shared a pot of tea and the banana nutella cake - fabulous!! We will definitely be back and recommend this organic, homespun spot to everyone! Prepare... More

A really nice breakfast. Busy, we had to wait for 20 mins or so for a table for 3. Freshly made scones, great tea. Homefries with chicken. Friendly waitstaff.

A nice, novelty café. Not English style as they like to believe but I love the Alice in Wonderland theme! The Wonderland Waffles were AMAZING as was their scones. The tea selection is huge so something for everyone's taste. It is a little pricey but I thought it was worth it. It's small so either make a reservation the day... More

Had a lovely tea and cake in this quaint, camp little shop, Alice's Tea Cup Chapter II. The range of teas and cakes was plentiful, the service was good and the set-up was very eccentric. On the one hand it is quintessentially niche and over-the-top, it isn't cheap, but if this is your thing and you fancy treating yourself then... More

I went with my daughter for a breakfast tea. The tea and scones were delicious. It is quaint inside. It is a bit pricey for why you get.

Thank Sue C

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
