If you are looking for a no frills Southern Style Chicken Fried Steak with Mashed Taters, beans and a few other fixins, then look no further - Sandy's is your spot. Now its located in a slightly out of the way industrial area, and the place probably hasn't been renovated since forever - but the food is Very Good. One... More

I was staying near Little Rock airport and searched my navigator for restaurants. The name Sandy's Homeplace caught my eye so I headed out the 1 1/2 miles from the airport. I was sure I was going on a wild goosechase as the area did not suggest that a restaurant would appear, but there it was in an industrial area... More

Sandy's is located in a fairly industrial area and caters to the working folks of the area. She puts out some excellent food. It is typically one price, all you can eat buffet that consists of many tasty veggies and a main entree - our day was chicken fried steak. No awards for the decor, but if you want good... More

The chicken livers were great and the white beans where some of the best that I have had in a while. The price was right for what you get (a very good lunch). Bring cash it will save you money.

I had heard this place was in an industrial area of town (true) and a hole in the wall restaurant. And that it serves only buffet lunch. And that the ex governor said it is his favorite house and that the food was downhome Southern cooking at it's best. All True. Sandy was there, just a friendly Southern gal who... More

This place is great. Close to nowhere and not easy to find but boy, you'll be so happy when you do. It's a small buffet with 2 main dishes, 1 of which is limited to one serving but the other is unlimited. On top of that you have multiple sides which are all freshly homecooked. You can top it off... This is a small cafe in an industrial area of Little Rock. They are only open for lunch on weekdays. Lunch is buffet style with specials changing daily. Food was very good country style cooking. There was a mix of people who work in the area and others who came just to eat there. Price was reasonable. This is a... More

Lets just say that, since the first time I went to Sandy's several months ago, I have not been anywhere else for lunch during the workday. If I were going to design my ideal restaurant, it would basically look and operate just like Sandy's.
