As good as everyone says. Excellent!! Family run, great service. My burrito had a unique flavor and seemed more traditional.

Not my first visit, but it's been a few years (post retirement) since my last visit. While this one time "Burger Chef" building looks in need of a lot of TLC both inside and out, the food and service are first rate. Today I had the eggs and chorizo lunch special with flour tortillas, delicious and more than I could eat... More

Quality exceeded the price. The restaurant looks to be and old 70's or 80's era fast food location. The food was excellent. Service was acceptable.

I ate here and had the lunch special of Tamale and Quesadilla with rice and bean. It costed 7.00. After tax and tip, 8.51. The tamale and quesadilla were very small. The side dishes were like an ice cream scoop of rice and bean. It wasnt filling and satifying. I looked at other people and they had lots of rice... More

Small, casual restaurant with excellent food. I had 1 fish taco and 1 gordita; others had the garlic shrimp and the enchilada platter. All were fantastic. The table behind us was drinking wine. The waiter said bringing your own is OK (they do not sell beer or wine). They are only open until 9pm on Saturdays. I was surprised at... More

Lots of people average prices but was not impressed with the food. Costs were more than some nice mom and pop mexican restaurants in Southern California. We had the standard chips and ordered guacamole which was very good and freshly made for us. I had the chile relleno with rice and beans. It did not come with the red or... More

Great service and decent prices. Tacos were a little dry. Interesting part of town but the place was packed so it's obviously a popular spot for lunch. It would have been nicer to have more flavor in the tacos.

If you're looking for authentic, this is it. Ceviche was fabulous. Classic tacos are classic and meaty. I was looking forward to pazole, but they only make it on the weekends. :-(

This restaurant is in what looks like a former Burger Chef Restaurant but the food is what counts here! If you want a fancy environment for an evening date then you do need to go somewhere else but if you want awesome Mexican food unlike any other Mexican food you've ever had then you need to visit Taqueria Mixteca. I... More
