Make this the place you stop before leaving Mammoth. Nice selection of bakery items. Other reviews said the staff is not pleasant but we found that not to be true. Bring home a ciabatta loaf - delicious!

They open early and have fresh breakfast sandwiches and good coffee. You can get pastries and fresh bread early in the morning. Really hits the spot when it is cold. People are friendly and helpful.

Honey Squak bread is the best bread I've ever tasted. The pastries are always consistent and well priced for the small resort town. But their bread is amazing. A must stop in Mammoth

There is no place like Schatts. This place has been a family stop of ours en route to Mammoth as long as I can remember. There is one in Bishop and also in Mammoth. From the moment you walk through the doors and smell all the deliciousness. The fresh baked bread selection is out of this world. They also have... More

We had a turkey sandwich here and it was truly a great sandwich. The turkey was real turkey sliced fresh and all the fixings were fresh and tasty. If you're in Mammoth and want a great sandwich or baked goods this is the place for you.

I am gluten free so they don't have anything for me and as wonderful as everything looks, I can't taste any of it. My husband loves their honey bran muffins.

The bread is outstanding. It is a treat. The sweets are also great with a european taste. The line is often long and the service is slow. Not always worth the wait.

Not much more can be said of this long time favorite. Just about any baked good you can imagine is available. Coffee, juices, and classic espresso drinks. Order at the counter and eat at one of the many small tables in the bakery or take it with you. A must visit when you're in Mammoth Lakes.

The bakery part is pretty good. But the sandwich part isn't. Mammoth Lakes is a pretty shabby, crummy town, and there are not all that many quality choices around. But the sandwich and soup part is a place to avoid. For over $10 I had a ham and swiss sandwich on a croissant. The croissant was very good. The ham... More
