I live in the city and arbitrarily made a reservation a month out, just so I had something to look forward to. My boyfriend and i Split the chef's tasting menu which was waaayyyyy tooo much food. We rolled out of there. Everything was really good, though nothing is sticking out in my mind as something I *have* to have... More

We stopped here because we had one night in Philly and wanted to try it. They had a price fix tasting menu on the night we were there and we loved everything but the duck liver crostini and lamb, which was the feature dish. We were dining with our two daughters, ages 7 and 9 and they had a great... More

We went to have dinner with our little baby girl and they told us that we should wait 2 hours for a table. We noticed that The problem was they didnt want The baby there. We told them we can wait and they magically found a table for us. There was plenty of empty tables.

Saw this on the list for restaurant week (one of the few top 50 restaurants participating). It was $10 off per person for their tasting menu, which is 4 courses of tapas style. Left feeling fat and happy. The hummus is a MUST! They give you about 6 different topping options along with fresh baked pita, and a bowl of... More

I have eaten in many Middle Eastern restaurants over many years of seaking it out, but Zahav is by far the best! Chef Solomonov has elevated the tastes of Israel to fine dining! From the best hummus I have ever eaten to the slow roasted lamb shoulder prepared with pomegranate, dining at Zahav is a fabulous experience. Service is also... More

Arguably the best restaurant in Philly. Try the Turkish hummus and salad sampler- you will have a whole new respect for hummus!

A friend of mine invited me to Zahav for dinner, and the experience was wonderful! The food was delicious and the dishes were very innovative. Great ambiance, too. I gather that reservations are very hard to come by...with good reason.

Living just outside of the city, I visit lots of Philly eateries. Zahav is always on my top ten list.

While tough to get a reservation (we ate at 5:00PM) the food more than made up for it. Incredibly helpful staff explains a wide variety of unknown-to-me middle eastern dishes. So we ordered broad range of small portions recommended by our server. In the meantime he brought the best-tasting hot pita bread and hummus I have ever tasted.

Thank Craig S
