Our favorite gourmet restaurant in Philly. The chef prepares excellent, delicious creations with a mix of ingredients that blend together so nicely making unique, delightful dishes. Each course, whether it be appetizer, salad, pasta, main course, or dessert is extra special. The atmosphere is wonderful both indoors and in the garden. The servers are very knowledgeable about the menu and... More

I've been to this restaurant several times over the past year although it usually is very crowded and noisy the food itself very very good I which this was professional but not too personal Only two of us of had wine by the glass and I felt a little pushed to drink more But overall my clients love the experience... The food is excellent and the waiter was very good. However, as it usually happens when women want to eat alone in a restaurant, we are systematically placed in poorly located tables. I was seated in a table by the bar and near to the computer where the waiters register their orders, so there was many people passing by my... More

As this place can be a bit pricey, a friend and I decided to try a pre-theatre brunch on a recent Sunday to test the place out. Our conclusion was the rave reviews are well deserved. The food was great. I had a version of Eggs Benedict served on a Buttermilk Biscuit with bacon, maple-butternut squash, shaved roasted Brussels sprouts... More

A beautiful location with great customer service and an interesting menu. The restaurant's location just across the street from the park was very nice. It was cold on the evening we had dinner so the large and attractive outdoor seating area was empty but we imagined it must be bustling in nicer weather. We arrived a few minutes before the... More

This restaurant has everything going for it- the décor is welcoming, the service is outstanding without being obtrusive and the food was out of this world. There were so many interesting combinations of brunch food with unique fresh combinations and use of herbs- we had a hard time deciding. The bakery trio was a good way to start. I will... More

This was a wonderful meal and experience! Our waiter was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and very enthusiastic about describing each item we asked about. After tasting the dishes, we understood why... really delicious! Great atmosphere, too.

We went to Talula's to celebrate my wife's finishing the Philadelphia half-marathon, and loved it from start to finish. We chose the restaurant because it has a reputation as vegetarian-friendly, which it definitely is. The service was excellent, just the right mix of attentiveness. The restaurant is visually stunning, and the food was awesome. I had the duck, and my... More

Been here multiple times. My favorite thing about it is the eclectic vintage romantic country style interior. The food is always fresh but not always the most well prepared at times. Great wine selection!!

We had heard good things about this restaurant, and, if anything, they were understated. We like farm-to-table restaurants, and the food here was some of the best that we have ever had! We had a party of five, so we started with a cheese tray, which was an excellent selection of mostly Northeast cheeses. We followed that with several shared... More

Description
Behind the wrought iron gate, past the herbaceous patio and through the atrium is Talula's Garden, the warm and elegant Washington Square eatery from Aimee Olexy and Starr Restaurants. The modern menu, prepared with carefully-sourced ingredients and a light European touch, changes with the seasons. The artful cuisine, hospitable staff, sustainable spirits, and a focus on cheese make the dining experience here incredibly memorable.
