We visited the Reading Terminal Market during a holiday walk around the city. The bakeries were superb, the ice cream looked decadent, and the shoppes had unique gifts.

We had had a light breakfast and by noon were craving a big lunch from one of the gastronomic wonders that comprise the Reading Terminal Market at 12th and Market in Center City.. It was a Friday, and the always-busy international food emporium was crawling with a mixed crowd of business crowd lunchers, conventioneers, savvy locals and hundreds of folks... More

I live in Philadelphia for more than two years now and I love coming here; it never disappoints me. If you have a large group and can't decide what to eat; this is it...this is place you need to go! It offers so many varieties of food. I haven't had a bad experience. I normally come here once a week... More

We visited the market for breakfast our first time in Philly. I loved the energy and all the small shops and food counters. Definitely worth checking out! It feels very authentic and isn't very touristy. There's something for everyone.

As long as you come to Philadelphia with a cooler and an empty stomach. Many Amish stalls selling raw foods from veggies and fruit to meats from all kinds of animals. As well as many prepared foods to seat and eat lunch.

Took a walk over from our hotel in the Historic District, only a few blocks away, but was worth the trip. Plenty of choices for the picky eaters. Also, a lot of local choices, no big fast food here.

Farm stands with fresh produce, coffee shops, bakeries, multicultural food stands offering vast varieties with something to please even the most picky palates. Want a taste of true Pennsylvania Amish farm fresh foods? Several stands here offer just that (Amish stands closed on Sunday's). Delicous inexpensive breakfast or lunches at the counter while you watch them prepare it! Even fresh... More

An awesome variety of food options for shopping or dining in. Too many to list but favorite sandwich is pork and extra sharp provolone from Dinics. My kids love the burgers and soft pretzels from the Amish stands. Bassett's ice cream finishes off any meal.

Tons of food options, dominated by Pennsylvania Dutch vendors. A little too crowded and busy for my taste. I'm glad I checked it out.

Going in around mid-day it was busy with locals who clearly know where to head for a varied choice and a great atmosphere. I wandered round a couple of times before I was able to make up my mind and I found it at Meltkraft Grilled Cheese, what I decided upon would be described as the best cheese melt I’ve... More
