And the answer is yes. You definitely want to go. But no for the "delicious food". You want to go because it's a prefect place you can see how intercultural and diverse it's philly. I was there and I found things from every single place. Asia, North America, South America, Europe, etc. I got the chance of listing a lot... More

From the BEST HOT PORK Sandwiches in Philly made with that imported Italian sharp provolone, to Handmade Marzipan fm Austria- a delicate, tiny nougat-type candy in amazing artful pieces- you must make time to go through this Philly Iconic Market. Treasures await !

It's been around for as long as I can remember, You can't eat everything in one day, so plan to visit several times for breakfast and lunch. It gets busy. But the smells are terrific. So many things to eat and you can take home too.

I confess to loving to visit supermarkets every day so visiting the Reading Terminal Market was an adrenaline rush for me. It is a wonderful place to eat (countless options) breakfast or lunch and, if you are a local or Airbnbing it, a great place to shop for meats and produce.

Lots of action going on. Lots of foods to taste. Maybe try a signature dish from a few places. I would recommend to get there an hour before they close to decide on what to eat before they close it down around 6 (or 5 on sundays). The donuts looked amazing but the line up was long. We'll be back... More

Something for everyone! Go hungry and you'll leave happy! We had dinner reservations so we didn't eat at the various stands, but we were salivating as we took the tour around. Everything from donuts to fried chicken. Duck, cheesesteaks, burgers, oysters ... you name it, it was there. Will plan another trip to Philly so we can experience the market... More

This place is phenomenal. All the food options and artisan food you could ever ask for. Totally represents philly and PA for cultural food choices. Go to Molly's for drinks. A bar within a market!!! Crowds can be heavy on weekends, but who cares! It's per of the experience.

Best of Philly! Every type of food vendor in a market setting- Italian, Asian, seafood, bakeries, candy, produce, cheeses, etc, love the sandwiches at Dinics and Beiler's (PA Dutch) donuts!! Not good for strollers Finding seating can be a challenge during peak times - worth a little patience!
