Went to this restaurant to enjoy an evening out with the wife, I always pass this on my way around town so I thought I'd give it a try. The Good: The service was excellent. Our waitress was always there at the perfect time during the course of the whole meal. Asking us for refills on our drinks along with... More

Seven of us went for dinner, unfortunately they had some banquet going at the same time in the back room, and I think they forgot to staff the rest of the place well enough. Service was pretty slow. Food was average, I asked for an end cut on the prime rib, the waiter came out to tell me no end... More

Before a trip to Hyde Park, I checked out area restaurants that were participating in Hudson Valley Restaurant Week. I was curious about Joseph's Steakhouse but when GPS led us to it, I thought there had been a mistake. We went up to the door thinking we could take a peek and decide whether to enter. We entered and did... More

Just went Friday for Restaurant Week - they were out of prime rib so I ended up getting upgraded to a 14 oz ribeye, which was hands down one of the best steaks I've ever had! The mussels and amaretto ice cream were delicious too! My friends and I absolutely loved our experience there - from the food to the... More

Location is an old roadhouse on 9G, just around the corner from Eleanor Roosevelt's post-World War II Cottage. Building is not that much to look at but the inside is simple, clean and cozy. Food was very good although some steaks can be pricey; always order medium rare, as it continues to cook on hot metal plating. Choice of fresh... More

We enjoyed dinner at Joseph's after a day of touring in the area. The service was very good and the owner very pleasant and accommodating. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The ribeye bone-in steak was cooked perfectly and the eggplant parmigiana appetizer was enough for a meal in itself. Salads were also very good. Everyone in our group... More

Our first night in Hyde Park we stopped at Joseph's (Recommended thru Trip Advisor). The food was great, a little pricy but was well worth it. We met the owner and had a nice conversation and got advise of what to check out while we were in the area.

My family and I went to Joseph's on Saturday evening. We arrived at 6:05 PM and were greeted immediately and seated in the main dining room. at the time we arrived the restaurant was not extremely busy with about 6 tables taken. The owner and Beth our waitress came over immediately and greeted us and took our order for drinks... More

We are celebrating or fifth year on the 18th and this is not what we are about. If you look at our reviews over a last five years your experience is far from a typical Joseph's Steakhouse experience. I can not apologize enough for your bad experience. We had over hundred guest between the three dining rooms and the kitchen... More

My cousin and I went to Joseph's Steakhouse last night for dinner and a show. There was a set price for both, and we called ahead to have dinner before the show. When we arrived, we were greeted by the Joe, the owner. Our waiter was Bryce Webber. He was attentive initially, then literally disappeared. We were attended by a... More

So that we understand all the facts about the dinner and show. It was a two hour Broadway musical with three outstanding singers and a three course dinner served during the show for $49. The dinner show was in our show room and the doors opened at 7:30pm. Your cousin what to see the show but expressed that she could... More

My husband, myself and 2 of our kids (ages 10 and 18) went here tonight for dinner. Joseph came by a few times to check on us and make conversation. A great guy who loves people. A lot of history here. The chop salads are so worth the cost to upgrade. The French onion soup was good. Everyone (mostly our... More
