I brought my wife by for her 1st visit on a cool, cloudy day and she wasn't sure what to expect. We shared a full order with an extra filet and the look on her face was priceless when she tasted her first bite: surprise, extreme joy, and supreme satisfaction. The tuna filets are the perfect consistently and the batter... More

Wonderful albacore tuna fish and chips prepared and served from a bowpicker fishing boat. Yummy condiment options too! Many locals wait on those lines too so you know it's good. And if you strike up a conversation while on line, you'll hear some local lore to boot!

I was in Astoria on a freezing cold day last week and sought out the infamous Bowpicker. Fortunately, there were only two people ahead of me, making the wait only 5 minutes. The fish was fresh, hot, and tasty. No complaints here. I'll order the 5 piece next time instead of the 3.

Easy to see why this is top-rated. This an experience as much as a restaurant. Really it's a food-boat. Eating hot delicious fresh albacore fish and chips outdoors in a cold wind overlooking Astoria's waterfront at the mouth of the Columbia River is burned into my wonderful memories. The cooks were sweethearts too!

Bowpicker Fish & Chips has terrific fish and chips, but the problem is the line! If you like queues (or lines) and can just enjoy standing in them all day. If I can get there early then it's worth it, but the line of people build up so fast for this place, so I say if you have time and... More

I expected more. Everyone raved about this place. We stood in line for 35 minutes and it was pretty spendy. It was just ok. I don't think we would go back.

This fish is so good. We always stop here as we go through town. You're lucky if you get there before the crowd. There are a couple of picnic tables, but no other seating.

Not a very glamorous setting, an old boat in a parking lot, but the long lines tell the story: simply great fish and chips.

Best Tuna in NW. Line had 10 people, but it went quick. Only a couple of items on menu so not a lot of time spent ordering... Large or small. water or water... Chips are standard... Keeping is simple

The gluten free fish was not battered but had been dipped in rice flour and then cooked so long that it was inedible. It was tough, chew,y and flavorless. The other members of the group, who had ordered the regular fish and chips, thought that the food was just barely maybe "okay". I want to say that we were very... More
