Great fish and chips from a funky bow picker. Eat outside preferable on the river front watching the boat traffic.

I have seen the lines at the Bowpicker as I drove around Astoria. Finally stopped by with the family on a Sunday. Friendly staff, great fish & chips. Firm, maybe tuna? Crumbly coating. I overindulged with a full serving. Half would be plenty for lunch....More

Waited in line for this. Didn’t realize it would take quite as long as it did. Food was good....worth the wait? Eh, maybe. Half was plenty (3 pieces of fish). Only has fish and chips-nothing else.

After several of my friends had raved about this place, I took their advice and dined there. I must say that the fish was superb! A delicate and crunchy batter surrounding perfectly cooked fillets. It was simply delightful and worth the $9 half-order. I wasn't...More

Everything that’s been said about this food boat is true. We went about 4:30-5 on a Saturday and waited about 20-30 min. The fish and chips were the best I’ve had. Perfectly fried without being too oily, high-quality albacore tuna, and handmade chips. Amazing! Stop...More

I have never had fish and chips made from tuna before, but I'll tell you what. It was absolutely fabulous. It's meatier than cod and definitely a different flavor. If you're not a tuna fan, you may not care for it. My wife and I...More

Camping within an hour of here. Would not miss going back if in the area. The fish is fresh and lightly battered. Not greasy at all. Very reasonable price.

We stop by here for fish a lot. Remember to take cash because they don't take cards. They have some of the best fish in town. I really wish they offered slaw.

Lots if quirky places in Astoria. Go to the place by maritime museum, it is an actual boat on land. Serves albacore tuna fish n chips, long lines at times. Ship inn has great food too.
