Dinner was a pleasant surprise. Michelle was a delight and invited me to taste 2 wines so I could make an informed decision. The crab cakes were amazing and veggies cooked to perfection. I look forward to going back.

Get the crab cakes; this is, of course, Maryland. The first time I got the crab cakes. It came with slaw, and fries; very good. The second time I got the Crab Cake BLT. I liked the Crab Cake BLT better.

The Renaissance Hotel, a Marriott property, has a good but pricey restaurant (Don't they all?). We enjoyed a late night cocktail and dinner with several attentive and professional servers. The great view of the harbor is available from almost every table.

There's not much to say beyond "no". Service varied from unimpressive to bad, and the food was consistently blah. It took 30 minutes to cook a chicken breast sandwich (we were one of three tables in the place), the crabcake sandwich tasted fishy (har har har), and some of the breakfast foods were a little dicey looking during the buffet... We had the breakfast buffet as we purchased it with our room reservation. I think it costs $18 per person without discounts. The restaurant is on the fifth floor. The food is wonderful and the server was pleasant. The have a variety of foods, fresh fruits, smoked salmon, french toast things that can be cooked to order. The view of... More

Had friends come visit and decided to have dinner here. Although it's odd that the restaurant is on the fifth floor the view was amazing. Could not believe the food....in a good way. They had the crab cakes as they are from out of town however it was a damn good representation of a Maryland crab cake. I had the... More

Perhaps others like it this way but... i ordered the crab chowder (its in a bread bowl). It was like gravy--and would have been better over mashed potates. I was hungry and the first bite was promising but I detected no crab taste--just an overpowering taste of Old Bay seasoning. Maybe that is the way they eat crab chowder in... More

Good Day Thank you for taking the time to review your experience on Trip Advisor. I am sorry that our crab chowder was not to your liking. It is one of our most popular dishes. It is very different than Maryland crab soup as it is very thick and rich. Again, thank you for your review. We do appreciate your... More

Given that this is in a Renaissance Hotel (and priced accordingly), it's shocking how bad this place is. The crab soup is unappetizing on all counts. Food preparation is the greatest shortcoming: it's just not competent. The decor resembles a hotel renovating its real restaurant and making-do by putting tables in a big empty room. Service was OK, but I... More

The service was excellent; the food very good; the prices a bit presumptuously high. Why they wrote a tip smaller than the service was worth into the check I do not know.

As my brother and his wife were in from CA, my sister and her husband came over from Potomac, and we drove over from the head of The Bay to this central spot. It is easy to find, though I do not recall Pratt Street being one way East. We all found fine, dry, warm parking under the hotel. Up... More
