Michael Marx, the owner, closed Miguel's Cocina and Cantina on May 31, 2015. Truly a shame for the city to lose this funky place with plentiful outdoor seating and great food.

The positives: best Mexican food outside the Southwest United States and Chicago, outdoor seating on a warm evening. Although the fish tacos are not really anything like Rubio's (in San Diego - they are advertised as being similar), they are very good in their own right. The not-so-positives: hard to find, along the train track side (as others have said),... More

The food, and service were OK. However, I thought it was a little on the high side for what you got. The atmosphere was great but the place was almost empty. I would have expected better service and just FYI the drinks (alcohol) were $$$. Parking was a bit of an issue as the garage and outside spaces were full.... More

Located on the Inner Harbor in Locust Point, this unassuming authentic Mexican restaurant is hidden in an industrial office building (Silo Point) at the end of Steuart Street off Fort Avenue. Keep looking - it's there at the back of the building facing the water. We were greeted warmly and served quickly and efficiently. Nice sized menu with daily specials.... More

I had an oak smoked pork sandwich with sweet potato fries and a frozen mango Margarita, it was all delicious. Prices were good, and a view of the harbor as well!

This is a great little restaurant tucked away in the Silo Point condo building in Locust Point. I've visited this secluded spot for brunch, lunch and dinner and simply put, the food, sides and drinks are outstanding. Miguel's is not your typical Mexican joint where you're served a hot, white plate where the beans, rice and entree are melted into... More

Sometimes I think of Miguel's Cocina Y Cantina as one of South Baltimore's best kept secrets. The restaurant is located in Locust Point at 1200 Stuart St in a building that you wouldn't expect to find some of the tastiest Tex-Mex dishes around. The Mexican food is significantly different than that at Banditos in Fed Hill. Here it has more... More

Picked a perfect night to sit outside, have a couple skinny margaritas and chips, salsa and guacamole. The guacamole was too creamy, but loved the smoked salsa and fresh salsa verde. My friends quesadilla veggie and she added chicken, was amazingly abundant with flavors. Thanks, Miguel! It's a CITYPEEK MUST.

We stopped for lunch on our way to visit Ft. McHenry. The nearby parking was confusing with signs for private parking, etc. We found street parking not too far away. Finding the restaurant itself was not easy, either. We had to walk way past the main sign, around the nearby wine bar, but finally found it facing the water. Once... More
