I live near the Oyster House, but can rarely get a dinner reservation on short notice. Even lunch times are busy. That is because the food and service are good and the decor is very pleasant. The oysters are excellent, and lobster rolls are superb. It has gotten more expensive in the last two years, but it is still worth... More

Met a childhood friend and her husband for dinner at this restaurant when their son was the manager. Now we might have received a little extra attention, but the food and the service was fantastic. The recommendations for food were excellent. The grilled octopus appetizer and gulf shrimp ceviche was so good. We relied on Sam for the oyster selection.... More

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Baltimore. You can sit at the bar and order oysters individually by their descriptions from a daily menu, or enjoy a full meal in either the dining room or outside courtyard. The quahog chowder, only served on served on weekends, is the best I've ever tasted and their lobster roll won a... More

Everything from start to finish was amazing! We started out with cocktails and the Queen Anne Shellfish Platter. We then ordered the lobster mac and cheese, the crab cake, and the lobster roll. The squash dish that came with the crab cake tasted like the best pumpkin pie I've ever had! For dessert we had the toasted marshmallow ice cream... More

Came here because Berthas was closed. Best thing that could have happened. These guys make the best mussels in town and their oysters were fresh and delicious. Great ambiance and excellent service as well. We could not believe our luck! Go, you won't be disappointed. But make a reservation if you want to sit upstairs, although I would highly recommend... Our second time dining here and the service and food were stellar both times. The wait staff is friendly, prompt, knowledgeable and seem to really enjoy what they do. Can't wait to go back again.

The best meal I've had in Baltimore. The food was just magnificent. Amazing seafood. Great Maryland crab soup that made me so full that I couldn't even finish it. Excellent!! Absolutely amazing seafood salad looks like tower of shrimp, calmari and crab. Highy recommend winter sangria with ginger and cinnamon. It was nice suprise - warm and tasteful. I've just... More

The crab cake was a bit different....presented in a skillet with a couple sides.....a very good cake with interesting presentation. We tried their lobster roll too....also nicely done (although this isn't Maine). So, different things here, very good seafood, worth a visit for sure.

A colleague and I wanted to visit another seafood restaurant on a Sunday evening but learned it was closed, so after a quick search of reviews we decided to visit Thames Street Oyster House. Although it was almost 8pm, the place was packed and we were told we’d have a 20-30 minute wait for a table. A couple of patrons... More
