We absolutely loved our meal here. There was nothing left on our plates. Started with oysters and the octopus and then got the lobster main, lobster roll, monk fish and arctic char. No room for dessert. We eat out a lot and this was one...of the best meals we had in a long time. Ruth was our server and was fantastic too. Not a cheap meal but worth every penny.More
Stopped by to see if we could get In as no reservations were available online. They accommodated us right away. Had a variety of delicious oysters from all over, a lobster stew soup that was out of this world, and incredible dinners. Casey was our...server and was awesome. Always checking in on us, but not bothering us. He was the best. Definitely would go back anytime we are in the area.More
This is the place I fell in LOVE with oysters! I'd tried oysters before, and they were not my favorite. Until I visited Thames Street Oyster House. Incredible atmosphere, incredible service, and the oysters were delicious! I especially loved their Old Bay cocktail sauce, I...will forever be trying to recreate that sauce. My boyfriend and I loved it so much, we went twice during our 4 day stay. If I could give it more than five stars, I would!More
Great fried oysters and ceviche. Kind server. Expresso drink was delicious. Fish and chips were also tasty. We found this little gem in July and have returned several times in the next 30days.
Great restaurant near the harbour. Fantastic raw bar and lobster roll. Good portion size and friendly staff. Wish it was open for lunch too.
Great food...Great server...Adjacent table of obnoxious, loud, vulgar customers...ruined the experience. Not sure what the restaurant could have done other than to ask the idiotic loud *#@holes to be quiet. Really an unfortunate event.
Literally, the best Oysters I've ever had! They offer a raw bar that allows you to pick and choose which oysters you wish to eat. We chose a variety of oysters to share and I can tell you this, the freshest and most flavorful oysters...I've ever had. I also had a salad and my husband had the seafood salad which he said was some of the freshest seafood he has ever tasted! MAKE Reservations because they fill up fast. We got the best table in the house which over looked the wharf and it was amazing.More
I was in Baltimore for a conference and found myself with no appealing lunch plans. I went to Trip Advisor, and looked up seafood restaurants in Baltimore. Thames Street Oyster House was the #1 restaurant so I took a Lyft over and gave it a...try. When I arrived there was an hour wait for a table since I had no reservation. I found one seat left at the bar and I took that. I did not catch the bartender's name but she a lovely person who instantly made me feel welcome and glad that I chose to go there. The other bartender was just as attentive and welcoming. I was in a fresh seafood mood, which is why I went. They had several dishes on the menus I wanted to try. But, I finally decided on the red shrimp ceviche appetizer and the summer salad, which included lobster. Both dishes were excellent, and, the salad was a generous portion. My only criticism is the salad needed serious amounts of salt to be truly tasty. That's probably on me, though, because I consider salt to be its own food group. The service was very nice at the bar. If I can go back, that's where I'd prefer to sit again! So on the way out I stopped and asked the host about the $250 stuffed 5 pound lobster on the menu, and why it was called the Paris Brown. The host was so kind and gracious to answer my questions. Apparently there's a man named Paris Brown who comes in about once a month and that's what he orders. Cool! I did ask if they had a 5 pound lobster in house that I could possibly see, because I am quite sure I have never seen one that big. The answer was no (requires 2 days notice, and nobody had ordered it I guess.) But, he made me feel good about asking the question. I definitely recommend Thames Street Oyster House if you love fresh seafood.More
There were more than 12 oyster options. Great service helped us get exactly what we wanted. The Fells Point neighborhood is super happening and fun.
Exactly what we were looking for to get a delicious Maryland seafood experience in a casual setting and cool neighborhood. We sat outside, with a nice view of the bay, and got the added bonus of live music from the bar next door. I'll be...dreaming about the soft shell crab special for months and those old bay fries were the perfect complement. Great friendly service, delicious cocktails, we were actually shocked we even got in, but sometimes that's the benefit of eating super early with a 5 year old.More
This quaint small restaurant in historic Fells Point on the waterfront is quite the little gem! We were able to score window seats with beautiful views of the busy waterfront across the street. We enjoyed our small snack of fresh east coast oysters (they offer...an excellent choice from all areas), fried oysters and their famous seafood salad! Get the seafood salad...you'll thank me! Service was exceptional...our server was friendly, knowledgeable, quick & very professional. Thank you!More
This is an extremely pleasant place! We were there on two consecutive evenings when in Baltimore as tourists. Food is really great, the choice of oysters (changing daily!) is splendid. On both evenings the service was extremely friendly and efficient, and it was great to...have their expert advice (also on daily specials). Good choice of wines, and also some good beers (largely local, really good). Small choice of non-seafood items as well, so our son (no seafood friend yet) left the place just as happy as we did. If only we could visit Baltimore more often...More
We had a wonderful dinner experience with our teenage sons. We sat on the back patio and enjoyed excellent service and fresh food. Enjoyed the locally sourced summer tomato salad, octopus, tuna and oysters! Would definitely return without hesitation.
A wonderful choice of oysters to try and a varied menu of appetizing very fresh food. The service was prompt and intelligent.
