The Black Olive represents authentic Mediterranean cuisine at its best. Humbly I have some authority to make this statement, having lived in Greece, traveled throughout the region, staying with cousins in Southern Italy; and to this day I have a 97 year-old Sicilian/American grandmother who lives alone and cooks all of her own meals, which on occasion I am fortunate... Octopus Appetizer was excellent. The seafood soup was good but I had MUCH higher expectations. The carrot cake was underwhelming. Wine by the glass is very small in quantity. Overall ok

Fantastic seafood at the Black Olive. Although the restaurant has a Greek owner and the cuisine is very Mediterranean with some Greek accent, you will mainly find succulent fish and no moussaka. You will be invited to take a look at the fresh fish they have that day and discuss how you would like it served. For European standards the... More

The Black Olive is one of my favorite restaurants in Fells Point for Italian food. I like it even better than the restaurants in Little Italy. My husband and I walk by this restaurant many times, and decided to save it for a special occasion. We were not disappointed! The food was so flavorful and fresh tasting. I had a... More

On a recent Saturday night my husband and I went with two friends to the black olive in Baltimore for dinner. Our reservation was for 5:30 PM so it wasn't that busy when we got there. The restaurant's lovely ambience is inviting, and shortly after we got there it started to get busy. They served us bread and we ordered... More

I read the reviews on this place and all I have to say is give these servers a break ...... The sagonaki app is awesome and the fish was perfect ... The service is professional and a little deliberate but the owner seems to keep them at a high standard

This is a Greek restaurant in the heart of Fells Point. My husband and I sat in the table by the window and the view of the street with the cobble stones and the street lights made you feel you were in London or any old town in Europe. The inside of the restaurant was also very authentic. The service... More

When in Fells Point this is one of the best restaurants, for sea food - Mediterranean style. The grilled whole fish such as Branzino and Dorade Royale are excellent ! and the nice ambiance and friendly service.

A small group of 10 of us wanted to try the Black Olive, after reading the reviews. We arrived on a Friday night, we only had to wait 15 mins for a table. This was the only good news for the night. We all placed our orders and we waited, waited, and waited some more. Because we all enjoyed each... More
