I see some of the other reviews, such as "overrated" and "nice Italian place wit great pasta" and I think they are missing totally what this restaurant is all about. It is not a red sauce and pasta Italian restaurant! Go to Little Italy in Baltimore for that. Cinghiale offers a more sophisticated Italian experience, at least in the Osteria... More

As a native of the City, now living in San Francisco, I enjoy their Italian wine list, appetizers, and pastas. It reminds me of Otto in NYC sans the crowd and is very good versus its local competition. People who are accustomed to the best of our biggest cities, will feel at home here others who prefer the Little Italy... More

There are better choices all over the area. This is not one of them. Walk past it and go to Ouzo Bay for a really fine dinner

Had a business dinner here and was impressed. It's very dark, so I needed the flashlight from my cell phone to read the menu, which is pretty extensive. All the pasta dishes we had were highly praised. My octopus risotto was outstanding. The halibut entree was very good and the chocolate gelato tremendous. Nice decor and fair prices. Highly recommended.

Also happened to be 1/2 price wine night which enabled us got enjoying some really nice Amarone. Food very nicely prepared, flavorful. Service was top notch. I had big eye tuna which was perfect, seared rare. Very nice fresh texture to the fish. I brought some guys from Rome and they loved the pasta, very fresh made in house. There... More

We enjoyed a fine Italian meal at Cinghiale in Baltimore. It is across the street from the best restaurant in Baltimore, Charleston. Besides sharing the location, the two restaurants also have the same owners. Service was outstanding, as was the food. The wine list is extensive and Italian. Our bottle of Amarone was served at the perfect temperature for a... More

With stunning interiors, an impeccable Italian menu and great service, this wonderful restaurant near the harbor in Baltimore is our favorite. With a formal and less formal choice of spaces, we prefer the casual side. Best restaurant in Baltimore!

We had dinner at Cinghiale on Nov 6th. Very warm and inviting atmosphere. The kind of restaurant where you want to make an evening of your experience. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The drinks were prepared to our exacting request. Our dinners of lamb and halibut were excellent. Will definitely go back on our next trip!

I went by myself because my husband wasn't feeling well so I didn't get to try much but the Halibut was very nicely done. Perfectly cooked and nice presentation. The atmosphere was a cross between Italian and French but very quant and bustling. Service was great. Would like to bring my husband and family back another time.

The décor says early 20th century French bistro (even though it serves Italian cuisine); lots of wood, candle-like rustic chandeliers and sconces, pulley fans, and frou frou plates. It is as if they hope their patrons will imagine Degas or Renoir holding court at a corner table. The big, busy bar says lively singles scene. And the bottles of wine... More
