After visiting Fallingwater on a crisp cool day we stopped for lunch at the Summit Inn. I had the perfect lunch with Onion Soup and the best Grilled Cheese Sandwich ever. The sandwich was huge, loaded with cheese and oozed with butter. Nice touch. My husband had a Turkey Wrap and said it too was delicious. Service was mediocre.

The atmosphere is very pleasant. I had filet mignon, which was cooked perfectly, and very tender. The service was above average.

The restaurant is charming, staff is very friendly. I liked side dishes, my mashed potatoes were very creamy, definitively made from scratch. Scottish salmon tasted like previously frozen,;glaze was more tart than sweet, and not spicy enough. My husband liked his meal very much though, his French fries were delicious, just cut and fried at the restaurant kitchen.

We had both dinner and breakfast while staying at the Summit Inn. Both were excellent. We began our dinner with an apple cider martini as autumn was just beginning. It was innovative and delicious. We chose seafood pasta, one with a light tomato sauce, one with Alfredo. Both were superb. The dining room was quiet and pleasant. It had a... More

We were dismayed by a group of loud diners for our first night at the Inn. We were hoping for a quiet romantic dinner, but had to talk over a group of 10 women loudly laughing and talking. Perhaps in the future the restaurant could move that kind of party to a private area? Also, our waitress was so busy... More

Set in the historic Summit Inn, Mae's is a beautiful dining room with Wright inspired furniture (although the paintings are a bit strange) and a fireplace although it wasn't lit those days. We had dinner our first night at the inn, and breakfast 2 mornings. Dinner was very good, but breakfast was superb. My husband had the crabby eggs benedict... More

As part of a tour to see a treehouse created by the Treehouse Master, we ate lunch at Mae's located in the Summit Inn. As it was a perfect day weatherwise, we, were able to eat on the veranda and enjoy the beautiful view. My husband and I had the crabcake lunch and found that there was very little filler,... More

We had the prime rib special. It was outstanding. Melted in our mouths. Very nicely done. I had rice pilaf and green beans. We started with wedding soup and a Mae's salad which was very good, and enough for 2 people.

Our meal was very good and the service though a little slow was just fine. The food was very well prepared with fresh ingredients and the ambiance was very relaxed. We sat on the terrace and watched the sun go down. Some of the diners had taken the trouble to get dressed for dinner while others were in their daytime... More

We enjoyed our dinner on the Veranda and experienced the most beautiful sunset we have ever seen. They had a prime rib special which my husband wanted but knew he couldn't finish. I ordered one crab cake and we shared the meat. Our waitress and the kitchen were extremely accommodating. And be sure to save room for dessert.
