Great place for a late lunch. Food was fresh and good...especially the crab stew and tacos! The atmosphere was casual and seemed to be a spot for locals. - We will be back!

The food was excellent. We had the Firecracker Shrimp and the Full House Fish Sandwich. The fish of the day was grouper. We had the sauces on the side because we aren't into heat but they would have been fine. Our waitress Molly did an excellent job explaining the menu. Great side trip off of I-95.

January 2016 new year eve dinner at this quaint restaurant near isle of hope marina. Sweet 1 mile walk from the marina for a great meal of local fare. Happy New Year.

One of my favorite Savannah restaurants. The food is always wonderful - try a special. Great atmosphere, live music and friendly staff. What's not to love. FYI - if you're a cat lover, ask to sit on the back porch. The kitties will entertain you!

Thank you for the nice review. My staff and myself work hard around here everyday to make sure that all of our guests have an experience like yours. So often people would rather take the time to complain and criticize. It is refreshing to have someone slow down long enough to pay a compliment and for that a very sincere... More

Had dirty martinis and fish tacos. The tacos were spiced just right, and the home fries crispy and hot. We would up having two martinis instead of one they were so tasty. It was a bit chilly on the back porch, but the pretty garden made it a treat.

Driftaway is fairly close to my home. I call it my favorite "neighborhood" restaurant. Everything from the food to the service meets my expectations.

My wife and I went there for my birthday. I ordered the Tybee Tuna and she ordered pesto chicken wrap. Both meals were excellent and the server was great as well.

I had crab stew which was really super salty cheese soup with crab. Kale salad had Uncooked quinoa in it. The place was uncomfortably cold and service was so so.

Sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your crab stew or your kale salad. Must have been a bad day. We serve about three gallons of crab stew a day especially on cold days and it seems to be very popular for the many years it has been on our menu. I am not sure what could have gone... More

Description
Driftaway Cafe specializes in "casual coastal cuisine" with an emphasis on flavor and fun!

Driftaway Cafe was created out of the desire to serve the surrounding neighborhoods and businesses fresh local seafood in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Our vision was to offer our guests a quick bite to "eat out" or the opportunity to stay and "dine" whether or not it is a quick taco with a cold beer or one of our featured nightly entrees with a nice bottle of wine. We were set to open on September 11th, 2001! What a horrible day that was for all Americans. We postponed our opening so that terrible day would not be our anniversary. Needless to say, our first year was quite a challenge, but with the support of God, friends and family we continue to strive forward everyday.

We specialize in made to order fresh local seafood dishes, fresh garden salads along with a variety of appetizers and sandwiches. Our talented Kitchen staff showcases their skills with nightly entree specials. We are known for our friendly atmosphere and our fun environment. We feature live music a few nights a week and have been blessed with a great staff and a regular repeat clientele!

Driftaway Cafe Is a locally owned restaurant located near the Wormsloe Plantation and the historic Isle of Hope. Owners, Robyn and Michele, have been in business together for the last two decades in Savannah. They work hard as a team and have developed a great staff that have been taught to treat each person that walks through the doors not as just another customer, but as a guest in their own home. They work hard to instill a passion for food, fun, flavor and family into everyone they meet!
