Your typical healthy (Ashville-like) restaurant. Food was good, service was ok, outside tables nice, prices pretty average. They were very busy at 3pm when we ate there on Saturday and every other time we walked by over the weekend they were packed.

Our last evening in Savannah and it's my birthday so we planned on a special dinner . But because we had a late lunch, we were in search of a light dinner and literally stumbled upon Kayak Kafe. Are we glad we did! I ordered a small Olympic Greek salad. It was huge and hit the spot! My husband ordered... More

Stopped in to bring some sandwiches home for dinner. Ordered the Georgia Bliss and the Islander. $10.00 each. The curry on the Islander tasted as if it had been run through a blender, no texture at all. The Georgia Bliss was pretty much tasteless. Not impressed with the food on this visit.

A local barista recommended Kayak Kafe to us and she definitely steered us in the right direction. Tucked in a small store front in front of a gym on the shopping street in Savannah, the Kafe boasts a varied menu that left everyone in my family happy! Two people ordered tacos and were thrilled with them. The pork and pineapple... More

We were passing through Savannah on our way to Hilton Head. In searching for a casual dining option for lunch, the Kayak Kafe continued to pop up. They have two locations, but we settled on E. Broughton Street and popped in for lunch. Parking can be a challenge, but we were lucky to find a spot on the street. The... More

What a gem for anyone who really cares about the health conscious quality and sustainability of their food. I love Savannah, have family here and love southern food. That said, it's not too common to find a restaurant here that puts so much effort into sustainable, gmo-free, pesticide-free ingredients. From the salads, the fish to the tacos, this place puts... We were pleasantly surprised by this unpretentious cafe. The decor and seating comfort are so-so. Not memorable, but acceptable. The food is the star here. The menu is mostly tacos, burritos, sandwiches and salads. The ingredients and flavors are diverse. I had the roasted lime chicken burrito and was amazed at how good it was. Hard to explain beyond great... More

The food was really good and I will definitely go back. The layout is a little odd but no big deal. It looks like you have to walk through the restaurant to get to a gym in the back. The service was fast. On a side note, not sure if this was part of the dress code or just a... More

Has the tofu tacos and shrimp quesadillas. Bothe were excellent and you should definitely ask for the house hot sauce!
