We ordered the sampler for an appetizer and the mozzarella sticks (platty) was served frozen. Unable to cut through it. The shrimp scampi was tasteless; no lemon, wine, butter sauce as described. The linguine tasted as if it was lifted out of unsalted water and plopped on the dish. Extremely disappointed.

We're very sorry to hear of your poor experience. There is no excuse for anything that happened. We were wondering if you would mind giving the restaurant a call so our General Manager can speak to you further. The number is (315) 339-3166. Please ask for Jim. More

When I order something from the menu based on the way it is described I expect it to be presented that way. I ordered the "bone-in porkchop with a rich pan sauce". Needless to say it was neither. The porkchop was actually a sirloin porkchop with no bone and the sauce was a watery light brown gravy. My husband had... More

Food is very good, menu frequently changes to entice the visits, which is nice for a local restaurant. Piano bar on weekends. The setting in close but you never fell crowded the dining area has many local memorabilia pictures and banners.

We stopped for dinner, not our first time. We've been here frequently, especially when we have visitors. There is a bar and seating for lunch and dinner. I've always gone for dinner, so can't speak on lunch. The place is clean with a relaxed atmosphere. Great for couples or families. I've never ordered something I didn't like. But the Mr.... More

The Savoy was an excellent choice for us! Our daughter and her fiancé were married 12/26/16 . Our families enjoyed the celebration in a beautiful room where the waitress was wonderful and very busy with 18 of us! We lacked for nothing and loved all of our meals. Thank you so much for making the night so special. The staff... More

Living in Oneonta, NY, we do not get up to the Rome area but once a year. We make a point to attend a Christmas Program at The Beeches. This particular year we decided to celebrate our anniversary at the same time. Lo and behold, we received an email message from THE SAVOY congratulating us on another anniversary. We were... More

My mother and I recently went to the Savoy on a Saturday evening. The place was packed but they had a table for us in the corner. This restaurant has been around for a long time. Lovely piano music, families and couples lingering over their meals deep in conversation. We started with a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. We had the... More

this was an absolute delight, marvelous salads, among best lasagna's ever, something "chicken Sinatra" with a mild sauce, and a free glass of wine thanks to a coupon provided us by the affiliated Beeches Inn (see other review)... waitress hustled overtime to get us out for a concert... tira misu stood in for unfortunately out-of-it crème brulet... would return to... We visited this restaurant while in a business trip based on reviews. Service was good. Our meals were decent although nothing memorable. I had a chicken pasta dish and my coworker had a seafood linguine dish. Meals were alright but I wouldn't go back. We've certainly had a lot better
