We've been to Rani for dinner (last night) and for buffets/lunch. Their food is good, is tasty, and very well respected. I don't know it they will do this, but it might be smart, first time ordering something new, to ask for a taste to make sure things aren't too spicy. (Last night I ordered an entrée the waiter assured... More

We love Indian food, have spent time in India and know the difference between simple but authentic Indian dishes, and really just pedestrian cooking for people who don't know the difference anyway. Four of us went to Rani Bistro for dinner on a relatively quiet weekday evening. This is what we ordered: * Bombay Curry soup * Corn and Cilantro... More

I love Indians food and get it a lot and this place has very good food. The lamb curry and chicken tikka masala are my personal favorites. Naan is also good. Mango lassi is a great option as well

Dropped in for dinner on a Wednesday night. It's a very short walk from the nearby Courtyard by Marriott and it was recommended by the hotel. No one in our small group qualifies as an expert in Indian foods, but we had very friendly and accommodating service. The manager came over to check on us and answer any questions. We... More

I used to enjoy going to Rani when it first opened. I go there about once a year with a friend who still likes it, but each time I'm more critical. The food is insipid and dull and barely spiced. Most of the dishes taste alike. The chicken dishes are uniformly boring. Often the meat whether chicken or lamb is... More

Warm and friendly atmosphere, excellent service, and most of all, a wide variety of terrific Indian food are all present at this conveniently located restaurant in Coolidge Corner, Brookline. The menu features both northern and southern Indian dishes. We have sampled most of them, and they are all wonderful. In conversation with the Owner/host, we have learned that the delicious... More

MEH. The Best Indian Food in Boston?!?! That's like calling McDonalds the best.burger.ever. This food is boring and bland and overpriced in my world. Service somewhat inattentive. We merely chalked up the relative busy-ness of the place on a Thursday evening to a captive local audience. Will never spend another dime here.

Very accommodating and attentive. Wide selection of Indian dishes and convenient location. We walked here from the Marriott Brookline

Best Indian food in Boston! Almost as good as eating in India. Try the paneer tikka. The entrees are good too. Good naan too.

This is my third year in going to Rani's to celebrate my friend from India's birthday. The food was delicious again. Our party of twelve was well taken care of.
