This is one unit in a small-size "chain" originated in CT. Everything about this place is thought through with great space and an exciting vibe (if possible, avoid the room all the way to the right when you enter). The bar area is energetic without...More

My wife and I had read about Barcelona and gave the location in Brookline a try last Wednesday night. The space is busy but comfortable and it was very crowded. Luckily we got there at 18:00 and did not have to wait for a table....More

My son brought me there for dinner. It's a very popular place, you better make a reservation if you plan to go. The Tapas are really good and service is also excellent. Very happy!!

The menu at the restaurant was somewhat more limited than the online version. Portions were surprisingly small. Nice taste on some selections. Busy place, same day reservations were not being accepted.More

Been to Barcelona several times for Brunch. Always a great experience. Brunch Tapas are reasonably priced and really great. Was in for dinner a couple of weeks back, not bad, but Brunch is my favorite meal here. When the weather is warmer, great outdoor seating...More

Had brunch there today, March 19th. It was my first time eating in a tapas style restuarant. Staff was great and was able to explain in detail each dish. Food was excellent and there was a great variety. Loved the idea of the smaller portions...More

Go there often. Only had one meal which we felt was sub-par (palela) and they re-did for us turning into a great dish. Tapas always great. Good for a date/couple night out.

The menu consists primarily of 'tapas', meaning small portions of typical Spanish dishes, some of them modified and made a bit more 'refined'. We advise to order different dishes to share, two per person will be enough. High quality, good tasting wine (not so easy...More

We love this restaurant - it's a standing favorite. The food is fresh, flavorful, and fairly priced (not cheap, but also not crazy expensive). The service is cheerful and prompt. And the atmosphere is upbeat and fun.

Description
Barcelona meets Brookline, and a sophisticated Boston neighborhood has a wine bar to call its own. A historic town located minutes from downtown Boston, Brookline is the perfect mixture of urban and country living. From large estates and recreational parks to boutiques and pedestrian-filled streets, Brookline offers a city atmosphere in a suburban setting. Located in Washington Square at 1700 Beacon Street, Barcelona is the newest addition to this lively neighborhood dining destination. A mix of antique wire glass, steel and reclaimed wood gives our newly built space a vintage appeal. The rustic, polished environment is the next best thing to eating tapas and drinking wine in our restaurant's namesake city. With hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, and spacious patio, the space has a European charm which fills the menu as well.
