We saw this restaurant on an episode of Bizarre foods where Andrew Zimmern had the famous spleen sandwich. We came all the way from eastern queens to eat here and were not disappointed! Authentic old school atmosphere and genuinely friendly wait staff and owner! We ordered the rice ball special, the stuffed artichoke, and spleen sandwich for lunch. First time... More

We came to Ferdinando's on a Friday night as a group of 12 for dinner and drinks.Charming historical setting, looks as if it's lifted right out of Boardwalk Empire. No TV's or overhead music, it was great to be able to just hear each other talk. Server had no issue making 3 different checks for groups of 4 so as... More

The atmosphere is a small neighborhood restaurant that's been there 112 years. Almost reminds me of the restaurant in the Godfather. The servers are a little rough around the edges. However, the tomato sauce is excellent. Best Rice Balls (Arancini), and the seafood was very fresh.

Step back a decade or too. Neighborhood family owned, fun pictures on successful media over the years. Had delish panelles, potato croquettes, linguini with white clams, sausage & broccoli rabe. Service was excellent. Ambiance outdated but okay. Wine was room temp, which was actually warm. Steamy week for NYC weather. Decided to go elsewhere for dessert. But planning to return... More

When we arrived, the owner was at the entrance. We saluted him warmly, but he replied in a very cold way and without a smile. We sat immediately. Atmosphere and ambiance of this restaurant are Not OK. Even if you scan and see a wifi named "Ferdinandos" don't bother to ask for the password: they would clame that only the... More

I've been eating at/from this restaurant for as long as I can remember. The Panelle sandwich is hands down, my absolute favorite item on the menu!! We moved a two hour drive from Ferdinando's nearly 30 years ago and we still go back for more; you can never get enough!! Once you get a bite of one, you too will... More

Clearly not much has changed at Ferdinando's since 1904, and if it ain't broke... We went for lunch and were not disappointed! After seeing a special on a couple different travel channel programs, we knew we had to add it to the Brooklyn to-do list. The rice ball was yummy and my veal cutlet parm sandwich with fresh ricotta was... More
