This is a lovely small place I found by accident strolling through Greenpoint one early morning. I needed coffee and popped in to see an amazing assortment of pastries for great prices. I got my coffee with steamed milk for a measly dollar and what is by far the best raspberry croissant I have ever had for a couple dollars.... More

A huge selection of fresh & delicious croissants, cookies, cakes and more! Every time we are in NY, we make a stop at the bakery.

Cafe Riviera is one of the few last great Polish bakeries in rapidly gentrifying Greenpoint, Brooklyn. It has the best pastries and authentic Polish delicacies. We have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. All the Polish regulars stop here to get to get their Polish pastries after Mass at nearby St. Anthony.

My husband and I found this gem by accident when we were in Greenpoint, Brooklyn looking for somewhere to have breakfast. It started to pour with rain and we went into the Café Riviera to seek shelter and have something to eat. They have an amazing selection of delicious things, cakes, pastries, bread and cheesecake, to name but a few.... More

Cafe Riviera could be in the heart of Paris and compete as the best bakery. The cheese Danish is sooooo good. The mohn cake with poppy seeds is so fresh and tasty with an orange glaze. A full piece is $12, but you could order a half for $6. Top it off with a cup of coffee with hot steamed... More

Been going here on a regular basis for the last year or so. Usually stop by in the morning. Most always get the peach danish, it can't be beat. Have found other items such as crossant to be a little dry as reported before. Small shop with a few tables. Prices reasonable, service friendly, although sometimes can't say that for... More

I've tried several pastries and have not been disappointed yet. It's a small, clean, cozy place, with friendly staff. It looks like a place for senior citizens of the neighborhood to gather. The cafe made a mistake with my daughter's cake order last year. She went back the next day to speak with management and they were friendly, accommodating and... More

Cafe Riviera is in the heart of the Polish neighborhood of Brooklyn, serving pastry you may not find in many other places such as Mohn cake. I found the pastries on the dry side, though the non-Polish items, i.e. those more broadly European, are fresh and tasty. Seating is limited, so if you arrive at peak times you'll have to... More
