I have been going to Sapporo Ichiban since it opened. Wouldn't go anywhere else for japanese fair.the presentation is excellent and I love the owner. I watched his child grow up and now he's working with his dad. I love this restaurant.

We went to SH late on a Friday night, the place had a great atmosphere, service was really fast and friendly. We ordered a delicious vegetarian bento box off the 5 page menu which was enough for two - huge serving. Free warm sake was lovely. Really happy with our meal and the vegetarian dumplings for starter. Other tables' meals... More

We visited between July 22-26th. We went here only one night and the service was very unique. They seemed to be VERY attentive servers.. more so as to rush us for a quick turn over or something. It was my Husband and our little one who was later joined by my father in law. We ordered off the sushi menu.... More

I ate here twice on a recent visit to NYC, once with my granddaughter who worked close by and then on my own. The food was wonderful, very reasonably priced with an unlimited supply of free sake and the staff excellent. I ate at a number of restaurants in the vicinity and this would top my list! Would highly recommend... More

We went here because it was the closest Japanese restaurant to our hotel in Brooklyn (we currently live in Italy, and cannot get good Japanese food there for a reasonable price). We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. It is quite authentic, with the staff we saw clearly being first generation Japanese immigrants. To food was all good, the portions... More

Our daughter lives around the corner so we often eat here when visiting. We took our late mother here in her 90's and she loved it, especially the tempura. All of the sushi is fresh and you get all you can drink saki with a minimum purchase. We often order the Bento boxes. They all come with several choices as... More

Miso soup or salad with 3 regular rolls will cost you $12. Plus free hot sake or green tea! I ordered the eel/avocado roll, east roll, and California sunrise (crab and mango) roll. All were fresh and delicious. Fast and friendly service.
