I ate here a few weeks ago, and the food is nothing special. Tostones is the only item that was really good. We were four with a baby who doesn't eat, and the waitress automatically included a tip on our bill. When asked, the cashier said groups of 6 or more are automatically charged a 15% tip. I just saw... More

The food is good, the prices fair and their Sangria is awesome!!! I love their oxtails, my husband a little hesitant about ordering salmon but he says it was very good and not dry! Next time in Park Slope Brooklyn stop in and see for yourself! Enjoy!!!!

If you like Dominican/Latino food this is a good place to eat. Whether you order fried pork chops, steak or beef it is always fresh and delicious. Also enjoy eating their rice and beans. Service is always pleasant.

We dinned twice in one week while visiting from Florida. This restaurant is a gem, I've visited the original location since I was a teenager. Now my wife and I visit with our 19 year old son, and 24 year old daughter, never disappointed. The Food, Service and Prices are great. Thank you for the memories.

If you are tired of the false fancy, tiny quantities of vertical food that is found in some overly priced Park Slope restaurants then give this a try. It is a rather plainly 1970's interior designed Spanish atmosphere restaurant. The food is plentiful and simple - true Spanish food. Service is attentive, friendly and fast. We were just three people... More

I visited El Viejo Yayo's on a recent trip to NYC. Unfortunately, my meal was sub par. I had the pernil which, aside from the containing more fat than I would have liked, it was pretty flavor-less. Pernil should be full of flavor and very tender, hence it's slow cooked; instead, I was served a plate full of huge chunks... More

While visiting the area you will find many restaurants in the area but few are original to the neighborhoods cuisine. The menu has for all different likes, Red Snapper etc. Steaks, Beef Stew etc, Chicken dishes, Rice and Beans etc. The staff is great and friendly ! There is another store on a fifth avenue address that is not the... More

I came from out of town dying for some real good Puerto Rican food because the only Hispanic food around is Mexican. The place a super small and kind of dingy looking. The floor, which was a rug, was dirty with food and looked like it needed a steam clean. I got the pernil rice and beans. It was good... More

The food and sangria are GOOD! The best items to order here are the crab cakes with mango for appetizer. Main meal soupy rice and shrimp, Mofongo, Paella is excellent both single or order for two, portions size is more than enough. Chicharrones de Pollo fried chicken pieces WITH BONE. Flan with cafe con leche, that is hard to resist... More
