Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This restaurant exceeded all of are expectations - from the great service and delicious food, the drinks were excellent as well. Prior to leaving we took the time to speak to the manager as the service and food were excellent and it’s hard to find...in this day and age!More

Nice Loacation but unreasonally Priced. Went for diner but when we saw that the steaks we were going for were $42 for a steak, we decided to just have drinks and go somewhere else for diner.

The ranges of beer are excellent! Steaks were perfect If I was being fussy I would say service was initially slow (for some people) but fine for us, there was a table of 8 next to us which always slows things down. We did get...excellent attention and the drinks arrived quickly. The place was almost full when we arrived just after 5.30 pm on a Sunday, when we left it was rammed. Prices are very fair for the quality of the food.More

Since this restaurant got mostly good reviews we thought we’d try it. It’s not in a glamorous location next to a hardware store, but they’ve done a good job decorating it into a rustic but comfortable space. We were greeted and seated quickly and served...our drinks before we knew it by one of the bartenders. Our server took our food order efficiently and our appetizer, the deep fried avocado, came quickly by a different server. We shared the cowboy burger, brought out by yet again someone different. They had plenty of staff on hand. Both food items were very good, only complaint was the burger patties were very well done. Still good flavor though. We finished our food and our beers then waited and waited for our server to come back to check on us. He never asked how our meal was, if we wanted anything else, nothing. We finally had to flag him down to get our bill. I would hope it’s because he was new(?) it not properly trained, but it ended our evening on a sour note. I would still recommend this place, all the rest of the staff we interacted with seemed very good.More

Good food, good atmosphere. A nice slice of local life. State 48 burger is a good bet, and the ginger coleslaw is yummy. Buy the kitchen a beer.

We enjoyed our dinner at State 48 Tavern. Service was just average, but the food was tasty. They were out of the loaded potato unfortunately, so i went with the baked potato which was not cooked very well, but the pork chops were tender and...juicy. I wish the portions were a big bigger though. My husband enjoyed his burger. Nice atmosphere. I would eat here again.More

My wife and I recently came in for dinner. The bartender was a short stocky disheveled fellow that looked like Adrian's brother Paulie from Rocky. He had an off-putting sense of humor and immediately was giving my wife I hard time because she didn't order...her drink the way he wanted her to. The bar was only partially full and the patrons were friendly. We both ordered prime rib for at $42.00 each. When it came out it was completely dead. No pink at all. We questioned the bartender and he said it was because of a "different kind of cooking process". He spoke to us like we were stupid and being unreasonable. Normally I would send it back but we were exhausted from the day's travels. We ate what we could. The next female bartender came on as we were leaving. She was bright and friendly. I wish we would have come in later. It could have been a totally different experience without the attitude from Paulie.More

Read the ratings and thought this sounded good. It was somewhat difficult to find for us out of towners. And it was sparsely occupied when we stopped off the road. Many TVs going with football games. Service was quick and good. Ordered the cowboy burger....So much food! The burger was good but hard to manage. We both resorted to a knife and fork in the end. I’d rather not had the bbq sauce and onion rings on it. Coleslaw had a lot of parsley in it for me. Not a bad stop but just ok this time around.More

First time in Page, AZ did a google seach and this resturant got my interest. Tried it out, had a Cowboy Burger and paked potato (out of several side choices) and was plesantly surprised. The food and beer choices was excellent, I sat at a...booth with my wife whom also enjoyed her meal. The only negative was there was a load sports bar atmosphere right near our booth, but it wasn't a deal breaker. The service was good and all in all were were happy with our visit.More
