Travelling by boat from Thunder Bay to Superior Wisconsin in October, the weather took a nasty turn so we ducked in to Grand Marais for the evening. We heard about the Crooked Spoon and decided to go there for dinner. Our gracious hostess informed us that it would be an hour for a table, so we went up to the... More

This little place has wonderful gourmet food! The steaks are fabulous and so is the fish. The portions are very large and fresh. This is an expensive place to eat, however, the food is worth it. Try the french onion soup -- it is one of our favorites.

I'd been to the Crooked Spoon with my fiance last summer when we moved to the area and we just had appetizers. This time, we decided to stay for dinner and take some family from out of town with us. Everyone really enjoyed their meal; my hanger steak was delish, even though I asked for it medium rare and it... More

Limited menu items, but each is unique and worth the taste test. Enjoyed the chicken salad with walnuts and grapes; asked for it on bread to make my favorite: chicken salad sandwich. Spouse had the greens with trout; very good and the tomatoes were especially flavorful. Will come back.

We stopped in after a chilly day of hiking and climbing on the rocks. Easy place to stop in for something besides the typical fare you find in town. We had the BLT and garlic chicken and both were really good will full flavor. Deserts were amazing too! We have a new favorite in Grand Marais.

I ordered the daily special of herring and it did not disappoint. The fish was perfectly prepared and was served with bread and wild rice. The local beer options were a fine compliment to my meal and the service was wonderful.

We asked at a little shop a block away for a recommendation on a good place for lunch and this is where she suggested. It was a fabulous experience. The menu is very diverse. The dessert (banana creme brulee ... ). A refreshing change of pace from the usual fare. Great attention to detail and quality food.

We were just in this restaurant last weekend. I can't say enough about how good the food was. I would definitely eat here again.

Every time we come to town I have to have the fish sandwich. It's my favorite! But there are many tasty items on the menu and it's always fresh and perfectly prepared!

Thank Geri C
