My companion and I had a jolly, good laugh after dining here. Mistake #1 Showing up on time for our 7 PM reservation Saturday night as "unknowns" (alias, new customers). We were seated by the front door where we watched every well-heeled, elderly diner between 7-8 PM show up. Within a minute of sitting down, their standard alcoholic drink choices... More

Had been several years since dining here. Were seated promptly, drink order taken & returned with small tasty canape. We shared an appetizer & salad, no problem from waiter about this, pate was delicious & salad just right. Wife's sea bass a little dry, my salmon wellington, a recommendation by waiter was fabulous!! Overall, an excellent dinging experience, just expensive... More

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the food is always great. The lobster bisque and oysters are so decadent. They make bread daily and offer 3 varieties. It is expensive but worth it

Used to eat here years ago and basically forgot about it. Decided to try it again for a special occasion. This is a very small, rather expensive restaurant in a very small strip with a long history in the area. The good: The appetizers were extraordinary, we had a lobster pasta app that was amazing (a nightly special) The wine... More

This is without a doubt one of the best restaurants in the country. We drive occasionally from Charlotte to come here and it is well worth it. We have not found a comparable restaurant in Charlotte. As good as the food is -- and it is --the service is amazing with the same staff over the many years we have... More

The end - truly an exquisite evening. One of the top 5 dinners in my 54 years of life! The story - my partner and I attended a wedding at The Marisol and were blown away by the entire experience. The appetizers immediately following the wedding were too good to stop eating! Dinner was a small affair in the main... More

A great special occasion restaurant. Intimate seating, open kitchen and great bar area. Each course was top notch. Our table of four enjoye each course. A great wine selection will enhance your experience. Our server was outstanding...16 years with Marisol.

My search for the best gnocchi in the state may be over - served in a sage brown butter sauce with lobster chunks -there is no better appetizer on the planet. We also had the duck and the lamb entrees - perfectly done, tender -delicious. The chocolate desert - we shared it because we were too full - gasp -... More

I struggle to find the appropriate words to describe our dining experience at this quaint gem and local favorite. In town from NYC to pick my son up from High Point University I was happy to find this out of the way restaurant for an absolute treat of an evening. From the moment we arrived our service was impeccable, attentive,... More

Several restaurants in Greensboro feel comfortable now charging the mid-thirty dollar range (closer to 45 with tax and tip) for entrees. The Marisol is among them, and in my dining experience the best. Our food was excellently prepared and extremely well served. The room is a bit dingy though in comparison to the newer sleeker restaurants downtown. Three cocktails, two... More
