Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful as Amed has been, food has been our biggest disappointment. Limited options, much of it westernised. While this place does not do much to drastically change that, I was encouraged by the slightly higher prices for the same options. I was relight to be....My seafood linguini was actually full of shrimp and generally rich with ingredients not the 1 prawns have had several other places. My wife’s lamb medallions were tender and tasty, not bit of old nag. My sons sausage and mash was much better sausage than anywhere else we had been after 10 days. The wine choices were much better than else where. The toilets were also nice and clean, well presented. You get what you pay for, pay the little extra, say 10-20% book a ride to the top of the hill and go visit this place. Best meal we’ve had after almost two weeks. We are massive foodies and not easily pleased.More

Excellent modern decor and great views. Our server was the rice and friendly too. Love the open kitchen and menu was more extensive than most in the area. However, unfortunately the food was just OK. The bruschetta was not toasted enough and my frozen margarita...was awful. The lamb roulettes were good. Best dish by far was their onion soup (not French onion).More

We had a lovely three course meal. We chose fish and steak. All the courses were beautifully presented and delicious. If you want a slight upgrade on meals in Bali for food and service, this is the place to go. We’re hoping to go back!

Sorry, but I can’t recommend this restaurant- the cocktails were not tasty and the meals not flavoursome. The staff are extremely friendly and they offer pickup, and it’s a lovely ocean view, but I just didn’t enjoy the food.

Complimentary pick up was so convenient, organised by WhatsApp. Sails has a great view and reminds me of Greek island dining. Fish in banana leaf was a winner. Chicken satays and Balinese curry were ok too. Feels very clean and safe to have salads. Beautiful...sunset views and friendly staff.More

This restaurant is so good we went 3 nights in a row! When I whatsapped to book, they offered to send a driver to pick us up from our guest house which was complimentary and the driver was lovely. When you arrive you are instantly...struck by the stunning view - I recommend a table at the front and come before sunset for the best experience. Once night falls there is a cool breeze. Menu is good, no MSG and clean and open kitchen which they invite you to have a peep while they prep. Kid friendly too, and complimentary still ice cold water as much as you need. We had the satay, pumpkin soup nasi goreng, fish in banana leaf, kids had burgers and fish and chips all delicious and fresh. Wine list is good and well priced, recommend the two island sparkling brut which for the price was extremely pleasant. Finally, lovely grounds, clean toilets and they drove us back to our guest house. Fantastic place will deffo be back next time we are in wonderful Amed.More

Great choice for our last night in Amed This Kiwi owned restaurant sited on a prominent location for great views with good value food Fish cakes- the best I have tasted for a long time I fancied garlic bread but they had no fresh bread...Prunes with bacon were tasty Pork ribs - the meat slid of the bone into the sauce Chicken skewers were yum with satay sauce I had the diver fillet steak - omg so tasty and all food cooked to perfection Washed down with a bottle of red Not a cheap place but not expensive in comparison to overseas pricing with food cooked to perfection and staff very friendly A tip to the owner would be a service plate and finger bowl with ribs Yum thouMore

Fantastic food! So good we had lunch two days in a row! We had Authentic Balinese curry, satays were delicious and the highlight was Balinese fish. My husband wanted fried banana (even though it wasn’t on the menu) and they made his dream come true!...Service was impeccable, friendly and professional! They even picked us up from our nearby resort for free. This place is a must! Will be going back again.More

The menu was great and everything we tried was delicious. The staff were friendly and thoughtful. We had a complimentary pick up and drop off from our villa, which we really appreciated. Water was also complimentary. We were the only family (of 6: 2 adults,...2 children and 2 grandparents) there, but the views were lovely and ambience nice.More

Awesome dining experience. Delicious food especially the onion soup and desserts! The crepe is heavenly and the affogato smells amazing. 🍨 Free pick up and return is provided by the restaurant and arranged via WhatsApp. Will definitely visit again.

The food was good. The view was even better. The staff was attentive and kind. Our entrees were absolutely delicious. We had grilled fish and a calamari salad. The mashed potato side that came with the fish was incredible. The cook was perfect, and the...ingredients were of good quality. The only sour note was the drinks we ordered. My partner and I ordered two piña coladas—one with alcohol and one without. Honestly, both were pretty awful. If you are ordering a special drink, I’d recommend you do not order the piña colada.More
