We thought this place is serving Indonesian food, in fact it also includes Thai food. The place is well decorated, staff also very friendly, we ordered food from the mentioned 2 countries; we do feel the Thai food is better than the Indonesian food, taste wise not bad but also not that authentic. Middle up price range.

Stopped by for for a quick lunch after reading amazing reviews I was hoping for some amazing food. The place was empty but very pretty. I ordered the chicken sate, the lamb was not available. The sate was good but I've had better here in Seminyak and it was served with cold white rice. They should never have offer the... More

This place has amazing Indonesian food and the price cannot be beat for the quality of food you are getting! We mainly stuck to the Indonesian specialties part of the menu and we were not disappointed. The waiter was also very helpful in making some recommendations on what to try. Definitely worth a visit if you're staying close by.

I was introduced to Cafe Degan by a friend a couple of years back and it is now firmly on my list of regular places to visit whenever I come to Bali - which is about 7-8 times a year. Whilst it serves both Indonesian and Thai food I always opt for the Indonesian and am never disappointed. The duck... More

This food was fantastic and great value - visited predominantly by locals, it was well presented, friendly and a great night out.

Ok, so we had crispy duck, beef soup, salt-fish fried rice. This was by many degrees of magnitude the best Indonesian food we had in Bali. It's not "haute" cuisine - it's your family-style food, and man-oh-man is it ever good. Some of the other reviews don't give it much credit, but having travelled and lived in Asia extensively (and... The chef is one of the judges on Master Chef Indonesia. BUT this remains a well kept secret. The food is fabulous Yet the place is never packed. we had lunch there with our Indonesian business partners the food as always was amazing the service rapid and friendly. I kind of hope it remains our little secret but I also... More

I wondered why ratings for this joint were high but reviews were mixed. Then I got there and realized that (formerly of Masterchef Indonesia) Chef Degan, the owner, has many years experience working abroad and has chosen a formula to stand out from the thousands of other restaurants in Bali. They make international-quality local dishes but also provide the usual... More

Best green curry chicken I had. I am now regular and always go for the green curry, though the other dishes are excellent too.
