Great restaurant but busy so advisable to book. Because the restaurant was so busy earlier by the time we got to our desserts all the Indian ones were off the menu! We were very impressed with the service and food. All the Indian dishes that we ordered for our main course were extremely good.

Not too many options in Nuwara Ellya and so this is very popular- very good Indian food & excellent service So we ended up eating all our dinners here. Be prepared to be early (6:30 opening) or be prepared to wait as it is always full.

Despite having to wait 45 minutes , was worth the wait, pleasant helpful staff despite the rush, nice setting and good Indian food. The place to eat in Nuwara Eliya.

The staff managed to fit in our family of 7 adults on what was a busy night, they were so genuinely accommodating. We were outside with blankets and heaters and the sunset.. it was fab (other guests were probably delighted we weren't inside). The food was an Indian taste from home (if that makes sense). All the traditional UK favourites,... More

The food was average for the so called "North Indian" flavors. The staff was friendly and nice, and service speed average. Good ambiance and crowded. Bill a bit on the higher side.

English style curry house based on food from North India. We intended to eat there and accidentally turned up more than half an hour before they opened at 6:30 sharp. Just as well because by the time they opened the queue to get in was long and people had to wait. Not sure if that's every day of the week... More

The Grand Indian was just up the road from our guesthouse. We popped in at lunch time to ask to reserve a table for the evening. They do not make reservations and serve people on a first come first serve policy. Opening time is 6.30pm. We arrived at 6.40pm and the place was full. They have a good system where... More

Went here for lunch on a trip through the Horton plains. The staff was welcoming, helpful and accessible. The food was very good, especially the butter chicken and the garlic naan can be recommended. Would go again!
