We had supper twice and one supper was excellent the other poor. The difference between the two was a different chef. During the week the preparation was refined, well presented and cooked just right. In the weekend the lamb and the Norwegian salmon were both overcooked.

We have ordered 2 black americano and 2 burgers. The waiter bring us two alcoholic drinks and told that this was americano. We were trying to persuade him that we do not order alcohol and in returns he started screaming. Really unexpected experience for sri lanka. After that his attitude had radically changed. We decided not to waite for burgers,... More

We had stayed at the Hill Club eighteen months before and on the basis of that experience were determined to have dinner there again, even though we were this time staying an hour's drive away. Benedict was at his best, remembered us from our last time there (as did the reception staff member), and looked after us with his customary... More

Amazing place with genuine British class and the food and service were top notch. The whole place is very well presented and a reminder of a British top class club. Would definitely recommend.

A fun chance to peek behind one of the grand facades of Tea Country. We were staying at the Grand Hotel next door and decided to partake in the colonial experience. I first went in the afternoon to check out the space, meet the manager, and make our reservations. When I returned 5 hours later with our party, it was... More

What stood out was the staff and how helpful they were, I had two vegetarians in the party and a kid who only wanted Chicken and the GM went out of the way to be accommodating. Wore a jacket and tie to dinner after a long time (I had carried mine but they have a closet full), the food was... More

The Hill Club, is one of the nicest golf courses in Asia I feel. Situated in the hill country of Sri Lanka. The food is excellent too. Need to be a member,BUT they do intertain day members of a small fee.

Great cocktails and service from the sommelier, who even gave us a tour of the place. Large open fire was also very welcome. We regretted not staying for food. (As we arrived we were nervous that we weren't dressed smartly enough (trainers, crumpled shirt and no tie) but needn't have worried.)
