My husband I were looking for something to do on an afternoon off. They have 20 beers on tap with a reasonable price for a flight. The female bartender was very friendly and assisted us in picking out our beer flight. They also have a nice selection on their food menu; the chicken salad sandwiches with chips and salsa were... Another "must stop" when you are in Madison. Very good microbrewery food and really good beer. The staff is friendly and upbeat. I have visited about a dozen times and have always been pleased.

I had the seafood taco -- cold salmon with wonderful trimmings inside a grilled tortilla. Nothing spectacular about the menu. Just good comfort food. Same can be said of their beer selection. It's a fine spot for locals to hang out after work.

Went here with in laws for dinner. I had the asylum smash burger with the mac and cheese. The burger was delicious and the a1 aioli was to die for. My husband had the special which was a bbq pulled pork. He really enjoyed it. Great atmosphere.

Ale asylum has my vote for best brewery in Madison. Flights are generous. Never disappointed with the rotating selection. They offer pints and half pints. Atmosphere is cool inside (lots of tables too) and there's also a patio area outside when the weather is nice. They offer a food menu that's surprisingly good too- with emphasis on local ingredients. Noticed... More

Stopped by for a flight as me and my husband along with another couple were brewery hopping seeing what all Madison had to offer. This was our last stop so it was late but it was still pretty busy! The atmosphere is pretty cool and the beer was average. Take in mind though everybody has different taste buds so you... More

We had some time before our flight, so stopped in for a drink. It's very cool inside and the beer was good, too.

Have I been here several times? Yes. Have I tried different items? Yes. Did Ale Asylum disappoint? Not at all. This place is quite a stop. On the way to the airport I love to stop here and find the legal limit, then proceed through security while I await my travels. It's truly the way to fly out of Madison.... More

gathered here with a group of friends. the facilities can accommodate large parties with dinning areas throughout the inside and an outdoor patio. enjoyed the pernil sandwich with the side salad - it was good to see a salad with spinach greens instead of chunks of iceberg lettuce. beers were a great variety with a strong flavor toward IPA's.

We love the ever changing menu for dining. The cheesesteak sandwich was decent, but the side salad with corn was excellent. Was excited to have their salmon ceasar salad, but was a little disappointed by the lack of taste sensation expected from Ale Asylum. Recommend the wheat beer - Unshadowed - and the Nut Brown Ale.
