Plain ambience but excellent choices. Fast service and delicious food. Try the arepas and the tostones.

It's absolutely delicious. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The food, my goodness. I got the Pabellon a Caballo and there was a lot on my plate but it's not overwhelming with flavor. I thought it was perfect. The atmosphere was a plus, good music and all. Portions are pretty large, but somehow I ate it all. Please do... More

Very friendly & welcoming staff, after acknowledging that it was our first visit, we were offered a thorough review of the menu that included several recommendations. Very quaint and casual atmosphere. If we lived here we would definitely be regulars!

Although i cant find a picture of the food, believe me it is awesome. We stopped here because my daughter and i like to try different cuisine. The waitperson was very helpful and suggested the two most popular plates. There was sooooo much food. Food with exquisite flavors, spicy, but not hot(i hate hot spice). It is small, quiet and... My girlfriend and I just ate here for the first time. Because of the small building that doesn't really stand out, I almost missed the restaurant at first. And walking in I was greeted with the same casual atmosphere to match the outside of the building. The walls are covered in the core highlighting all things Venezuelan. But not the... More

This was my first time eating Venezuelan food, and I was not disappointed. I got the Bandejita Paisa, and my partner got the Pabellon A Cabello. I liked his a little more then my own. The black beans were amazing, as was the queso frito. The customer service was really good, and the food was cooked to order and quickly.... More

We dined for lunch and were very impressed by the friendly service from the minute we walked in the door. The girl behind the counter walked us through the menu. The food was outstanding as were the homemade sauces and beverages. We will be back and highly recommend to others!

Was impressed by the menu selections. Had the Papi Venezolano, Yuca con Chicharron and the Bandejita Paisa. Shared all these with one other person and was way more than enough so we took some home with us. LOVED the Taqueños! Best fried Yuca I've had; Great picadillo salad with the Chicharron and really liked the Sugarcane Lemonade we ordered for... More

There is a reason why this unassuming restaurant is ranked 6 out of all the options in Madison. La Taguara is the absolute real deal Venezuelan cuisine. I had the chicken arepa and empanadas and neither disappointed. Coupled with a bowl of homemade hot soup and your taste buds are in for a real treat. Try the salsa picante to... More

This place was definitely satisfying. You should absolutely get the Taquenos if you're not counting calories. They are like the South American version of fried Mozzarella sticks, but with more flavorful cheese and a buttery crust. I really enjoyed the beef and white cheese arepa I got. Very tasty. I was less impressed with the empanada, but my friend seems... More
