Best pralines ever - gave us a sample as soon as we walked in the door. They were making them right there in the shop and the smell was heavenly!!!

These were definitely the best pralines I had in NOLA (and I sampled many!). The staff is very nice and the candy is picked out fresh and boxed as you order at the front. Also give the tortues a try, those were wonderful too!

My candy stop of choice on every trip to New Orleans. My nieces just say, we ARE getting the chocolate gators, right? The pralines are beyond compare and really the star of the show. Took my best friend (who "doesn't like nuts") with me today, she tried the original, she left with two different kinds. We're probably going back tomorrow.

After sampling many pralines in various shops, we walked into Southern Candymakers and had the BEST praline ever. The sugars are melted to perfection and the candy melts in your mouth. Definitely worth the price!

The best hands down! I buy Christmas gifts here; they shop and mail. The pralines, the stuffed Oreo cookies, the fudge, the clusters. Just heavenly! There are 2 locations in the Quarter.

Tried a few places with Pralines and this was by far the best. I will say that the pricing is not cheap, but if you want to try the best, these ones rank up there.

Without a doubt, the best Pralines I have ever tasted. I tried several brands, from several places, but none hold a candle to these. When you walk into the store, you can smell the butter, cream, sugar. It's heavenly. I highly recommend their creamy pralines. The only con, is that they are only open until 6pm, so if you don't... Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
