This was a wonderful breakfast place! I had the breakfast sandwich and my friend had the shrimp and grits! Both were delicious. Then for dessert we had the lemon curd stuffed French toast not to mention the great milk punch and mimosas we had before the meal. Absolutely this will be my favorite breakfast stop from now on.

Being from the south already, it is sometimes hard to find restaurants that hold up to good food standards. This place is definitely one of them. Great breakfast food in a great atmosphere! The proof is also in the line of people waiting to get in this place. Definitely a must place to try.

They have the best of the BEST fried green tomatoes, EVER! Don't go there when you're starved though, the wait if really long. But they do give you some water while waiting in the heat. We went for Sunday brunch and all of our food was delicious!

This place was great. After a horrible dinner the night before at a supposedly "excellent" restaurant in the Quarter, the bar wasn't set too high but this restaurant was fantastic. From the service to the food they got everything right. My friend, who is from New Orleans, took three of us claiming that it was a must. It's just a... More

After Katrina, everyone wanted to return home who had fled New Orleans. Thus, the Ruby Slipper was born. Taking its name from iconic shoes that returned Dorothy to Kansas, the Ruby Slipper returns customers to their childhood with fresh eats and tasty coffee. Anyone who looks to eat a great meal in NOLA needs to eat here. One tip, get... More

This was by far the beat breakfast of our trip. We had six in our party. I tried a bite of everyones and it was all fantastic. Two small problems. First the male host was kind of rude and short with us. Secondly. There is no interior waiting. You have to wait outside for a table. None of that affected... More

Wherever you are in New Orleans go to Ruby slipper for breakfast. I had the Sunday special crab cakes and it was one of the most delicious crab cakes I ever had. The cinnamon pancake, Bellini ,bloody Mary, are all a must. The prices are very reasonable and service was great. You will not be disappointed.

This place has so much potential but the last (3 times) I went we've had problems. Undercooked food and slow service. Worst was the crabcake breakfast special made with bad, stinky crab meat. It would take a lot to get me back there.
